'If NATO attacks Syria, we'll fire missiles at Tel Aviv' (Syria's Assad)

Syrian President Bashar Assad warned western countries on Tuesday that if Syria comes under NATO attack it would fire missiles at Tel Aviv, Iranian semi-official news agency FARS reported.

During a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu, Assad allegedly threatened: "If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than 6 hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv."

According to the report, Assad also reiterated that Damascus will call on Hezbollah to launch such an intensive rocket and missile attack on Israel.

"All these events will happen in three hours, and in the following three hours, Iran will attack the US warships in the Persian Gulf and the US and European interests will be targeted simultaneously," Assad said, according to FARS.

Assad's comments came as Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday he would set out his country's plans for sanctions against Syria after he visits a Syrian refugee camp near the border in the coming days.

The move heralds a further deterioration in previously friendly relations between Ankara and Damascus since the start of Assad's crackdown on protesters.

“If NATO attacks Syria, we’ll fire missles at Tel Aviv”

Damascus will become a parking lot.

Not that I'm for any sort of "NATO" attack (Wasn't NATO supposed to be a defensive alliance?) on Syria, but if Assad is planning on launching missiles toward Tel Aviv, he would best be advised to move historical artifacts and population well distant from Damascus.

Far less likely than a NATO attack. Assad knows the IDF will be in Damascus within days, unless they decide to clear Lebanon, in which case it might be a week. Rallies support domestically though.

Ass-ad has not figured out this is EXACTLY what NATO expects of him.

Attack on Israel by proxy, step 5

1. NATO removes Mubarak and make Israel's western and southern border vulnerable.

2. Arm AQ from looted Libya stockpiles

3. NATO distracts Israel navy and IAF with NATO's Turkey forces. Israels maritime and northern border threatened.

4. NATO stirs trouble in Israel internally with Soros mobs.

5. NATO attacks Syria and makes Syria fire first shot on Israel. Israel retaliates heavily.

6. Iran brought into the fray.

7. Israel attacks Iran, all Mooslime countries attack Israel.

8. Nuclear winter.

TO avert this, Natanyahu should send envoys to Damascus, Tehran, Moscow and Beijing ASAP.

This would work nicely: If NATO attacks Syria, Israeli nuclear forces annihilate Turkish forces as a stern warning to NATO, threaten to destroy Aswan dam as a neighborly message to Egyptian MB and tell NATO to back off from ME.

Iran stays home intact and backs off from ME completely.

Israel intact. European NATO countries intact.

NATO collapses for failing to invoke Art. 6 and WW III is averted.

Doable, but not likely. Too many idiots in broke NATO countries who sincerely believe they can win nuclear war against Israel, Russia, India, Pakistan and China as a way out from financial misery.

The same military "geniuses" who could not defeat two-bit Gaddafi.

Golan Heights has been part of Israel since we kicked the butts of our Arab neighbors in the six-day war. The foolish president of Syria will need to stay on his side of the fence to play with his little rockets. One or two may slip through, but that’s all it will take before the IDF wipes them out. Same goes for Lebanon or any other terrorist-ridden country who intends to harm an Israeli citizen.

LOL! I don't think anything would make it out of the Damascus city limits let alone as far as the Golan Heights.

At least now Israel can point to this statement to further their argument that there is no way in hell that Israel would ever voluntarily give back the Golan to Syria.

Zero the Jihadist has done nothing but talk, maybe because Assad makes him wet his pants in fear.
