“Still a Possibility:” Sarah Palin May Enter The Race
ABC News ^ | October 4, 2011 | Shushannah Walshe and John Berman

Posted on 10/04/2011 8:11:40 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

According to a source with knowledge of the inner workings of SarahPAC, inside the Palin world it’s still a possibility that she might run. However, as the deadline approaches not even her staff knows what she will decide.

ABC News has separately learned that the Palin team is well aware of the filing deadlines and are keeping abreast of the changes in the deadline. Politico reported Tuesday that a law firm that employs an attorney representing SarahPAC had been making calls to early states inquiring about presidential filing deadlines. SarahPAC would not confirm the report to ABC News. When reached by ABC News, Mark Braden—the attorney mentioned in the Politico report—would also not comment or confirm the report or that he even works with Palin.

As the days creep toward those state filing deadlines, no new staff has been hired. Her core group of about seven staffers runs the organization while a volunteer group completely independent of SarahPAC called Organize4Palin or O4P tries to lay the groundwork in states, most notably Iowa. Those close to Palin acknowledge the decision is hers to make alone with her husband, Todd, and that she could decide the day before the first filing deadline that she wants to throw her hat in the ring....

If she doesn’t, we’re doomed.

Ain't that the truth.

Can you imagine the tepid, half-assed "reform" we'll get if any of the other GOP candidates (excluding Palin and Cain) actually gets the nomination and then wins?

IMHO, virtually nothing would change. The same wasteful spending, crony capitalism, and creeping socialism would all combine to produce more ongoing, slightly different flavored Tyranny. Meet the new boss.

Please, Run, Sarah, Run!

I agree, but how is a "President Cain" going to push through reforms when he has zero experience dealing with an opposition Congress and a Hostile Media that will twist every word he says against him.

Look at the amateurish way he handled the "Perry Rock issue".

Frankly, I’m tired of this. I don’t want to hear another thing about Sarah until she is ready to say she’s in or she’s out.

Then don't click on the Palin threads, duh.

Cheers!

It’s one of the reasons I thought threatening to sue Random House was a bad move. So some people wrote some bad things about you.

I’m not so sure this mass rush of states to move up their primaries wasn’t designed to try to keep her OUT of the race altogether. It takes lots of money in the bank and a commitment by big bundlers to throw in. If she doesn’t have that (and the Establishment Bundlers are definitely NOT for her), then making her commit earlier than she wants to only hurts her - which is exactly what her rivals want (especially Romney). It’s my prayer she has the financial backing for the luxury of being unfazed by the vast minefield the RINO’s will lay for her every m moment of every day. The RINOs, The Republican Establishment, and especially The Left don’t want her for one reason - because We The People do.

He's especially funny.

Easily manipulated by the communist press and the race baiters.

Belongs in the new Administration though, put him in charge of working with Congress to cut spending in all Federal Agency's.

Perhaps, yet most of my posts are met with personal attacks. Why not address the substance of my post? Palin’s been rather fanatical herself lately with her use of lawyers, IMO, and FReepers are cheering her on. The better approach would be to just ignore the media, IMO. People will say ‘what did that get Dubya’? Well, it got him two terms as President. Imagine how it would have been under four years of Kerry.

Well, remember when Palin said that McCain was the only one "who has actually really fought for you"? That's what people want to see from her. They want to see her fight and take on the RINO's face to face and not wait for them to accumulate so much money and support that it's almost a done deal.

She did that in Alaska. We know that. The rest of the country needs to see that Palin again.

Palin could have made whatever imaginary reasons you assign to states moving up their primaries irrelevant by, ummm, declaring a few months ago.

Is that what the excuse is going to be? Most people will see it as Palin waffling and missing out on the dance, but I can see how the dozen or so here who are Palin fanatics will push that conspiracy theory.

We, as in the general right of center, are far from done without Palin.

She may pound sand. To this point, she’s done little more.

That’s all........

Considering you used the “fanatic” word first, it’s a bit disingenious of you to complain of “personal attacks”.

Glass houses, you know.

Why? The debates exist to allow us to get to know the candidates. People already know her. If anything she’s done the other candidates a favor. She garners a great deal of attention and we might not know some of the other candidates. Besides, this isn’t the last debate and how much time do the candidates really get with so many participating. I’d rather wait until the field has been narrowed down a little, we’d get more in depth answers than they’re able to give right now.

She’s gonna play this one till the very end. Seems like she’s having way too much fun jerking peoples chains.

I think she can continue to be a strong spokesperson for conservative causes.

But she’s simply not a leader.

Just my 2 cents, you get what you pay for...

Lol.

She’s not a leader. That’s why you’re following her threads around to “explain” she’s not a leader.

Just saying. :D

Anyone know if Cain supporters are really Palin supporers and will go back to her should she get it?

I’ve noticed the Palin noise is much quieter here lately.

Lol!

I might post on one Palin thread per week.

Unlike you, who seems to be quite active on the Palin threads, at least 5 or 6 since just the beginning of October!

Hmmm. You raise an interesting point. The GOP establishment hates Palin. The media hates Palin. How is a President Palin going to push anything through an elite GOP Congress that despises her?

That's not sarcasm. It's a serious question for discussion's sake. (I support Perry and Palin.)
