Documents obtained under a federal Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch detail costs incurred during the First Lady's trip to South Africa and Botswana in June - with the cost of firing up 'Air Force 2' alone amounting to $424,142.

The White House earlier professed the purpose of the trip was to help 'youth leadership, education, health and wellness' in south Africa.

I wonder how much her two special ‘senior staff’ members were paid?

Since they had to put up with her, probably not enough.

Chump change, considering that the diamond bracelet she carried on her wrist in a recent photograph cost that much.

Is there even an actual budget for that sort of thing, or is it really an unlimited expense account?

That is probably low-balled.

The trip to India was far more expensive.

There is a budget for the travel for the wife of the President, however this was considered a cultural exchange event, therefore there was no limit on cost,

She should have sent that $425,000 in a cash donation instead of flying. A dollar can easily feed a family there. $425,000 could feed half a million families in Africa. Better yet, she could send her own money and not waste taxpayer money on frivolous ego trips. What a royal b*t*h.

I think she should have been told to go clean her own backyard. Once again, as with the refusal to deport illegals until they physically hurt someone, the Obamas show how little they care about Americans.

Maybe Congress and the Senate should see to it that her next trip is to her checkbook to reimburse the US taxpayer for these junkets on the tax payer’s dime.

With so many people without jobs, losing houses, on food stamps, and now they are ready to cut the social security and medicare on seniors and the disabled on fixed incomes, how can they be able to look at themselves in the mirror each morning????

This “as long as I have/get what I need so screw everyone else” mentality is selfish and evil. Separation of church and state is the law, and a god one, but we need leaders who believe in, love, and fear G-D, and carry it faithfully in their hearts as their life’s compass.
