According to reports last night Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath about Fast and Furious during testimony to Congress. On May 3, 2011, while under oath, Holder told a Congressional committee, “”I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”
But, new emails prove he was notified about Fast and Furious back in July 2010.
Today, the Obama Justice Department claimed Eric Holder did not understand the question:

This sounded like satire. The detail position is highly shaky too.
Then he’s too stupid to be the nation’s Attorney General.

Fine then. Bring him back in front of the Committee, re-swear him in, and ask much more detailed questions this time.
If he says he did not understand, then that’s another lie.
He knows damn well that the New York Times, Washington Post and CBSABCNBCCNN will not only buy the bullshit, but swallow it whole. He does not give a damn what we think.
His reply to the original question was calculated to provide him cover when or if the truth became known. I doubt if they can prosecute him for it.

Only a large plurality has to be able to buy the statement that he did not understand the question - that is enough to provide protective cover for what is a “complete dramatization, of course”.
Eric Holder may not be smart, but he is one shrewd sharecropper. Only a few miles away from the plantation house, but still on the grounds.
Scooter Libby. That’s all that needs cited as precedent. Appoint a Special Prosecutor, Independent Counsel, whatever they call it now.

He didn’t understand the question then he is too stupid to act as head honcho of the DOJ it would seem. If he can’t understand a simple question clearly put. Either that or he is a damned LIAR and unfit to be trusted on that account.
