Sarah Palin Will Not Run for President
ABC News ^ | October 5, 2011 | Polson Kanneth

Sarah Palin will not run for president. She made the announcement in a letter to supporters Wednesday night.

Read Palin’s letter here:

October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law....

One thing I take from this:

It is amazing the seismic event that this is. For a person to announce that they’re NOT running to have the impact this will have speaks volumes to the influence of this woman.

I’m a big Palin fan. I really didn’t think she’ run; at least I didn’t for the last few weeks.

But her influence on the whole process...well, I think I’m incapable of even imagining it.

Kudos to her, the changes she’s driven and the influence she exerts.

God bless her and her family.

I will always be a fan.

It is unbelievable, Sarah told Mark Levin that a third party would “guarantee an 0bama reelection” yet people still insists in national suicide.

No, it is not a canard.

Yes, it is. If you wanted to say that YOU would never elect her on account of it, that's fine. But that hardly meant that she was "toast", and it hardly means she is "toast" for the future.

Did you run out and get your DVD yet?

No, I didn't, and won't any time soon (I live in Europe at the moment, and frankly am not that worried about the DVD).

When you use the passive-aggressive nonsense, you just make yourself look like a PDS troll.

YOU are our only hope to save this nation, the world, the Constitution and the American family. Neither you nor Sarah has to be the President to do it. Is your commitment to your family and nation as strong as her commitment to her family and our nation? Never give up and never give in.

I think a third party Ron Paul would help us.

Another Mahdi Republican. If we destroy the country the hidden one shall appear.

I think a third party Ron Paul would help us.

I'd tend to disagree. Let's put it this way, if Ron runs with Soros money, we'll know the Baraqqi regime thinks he's beneficial.

Am no fan of Romney but will he put this nation on a much better track then Obama? yes..

No, heck no and then some....he's an extention of Obamas agenda...and why the media and the democrates appointed him as their favorate Republican candidate.

Get your head out of the sand....Romney will hand the election over to Obama....just like McCain did.

Romney...NEVER!

“I guess I will just go hang myself in the barn now... Nothing else to live for.”

I’m sorry you are so devastated by Sarah’s decision and while I understand your inclination to kill yourself over this, I hope you give it a few more minutes of thought before taking that long lonely last walk to the barn.

Cain has never been elected to anything...While I stand behind his conservatism, not having any political experience is a problem. Isn’t this what we always attacked Obama for...only being a state Senator for a short period? Obama had more political experience when he was senator than Cain has now???? Am i missing something? Again, I do love Cain’s conservatism.

Right now; Cain. After the convention; the candidate. Not voting for the candidate with the R beside their name is the same as voting for the one with the D.

Any mockery on my part was never aimed at Sarah, nor was it hatred. Just irritation at some of the die hard Palin supporters (not you) who refused to even consider that she might not run, and disparaged other choices as RINOs. I always said I am a fan of Sarah, but I doubted she would want to put her family through it in the end.

"America and our effort to reclaim America from a bunch of communists has NOT lost Sarah."

Her time was now, everyone knows that. By not joining the fight she has greatly disminished her value. We really do not need leaders that will not lead. I hope she lives a long and happy live, but I am very disappointed in her.

The past year? Many of us have known this since July 2009.

LOL, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with this little remark, other than some middle school version of "I'm smarter than you." But then we're all about self-esteem these days, so... have at it, Kreskin.

I changed my tagline last week, when it became painfully obvious to me that she would not run, tho I remained hopeful she would. Like you I am at a loss for a reasoned response.

The FOX will be full of Cackling Hens tonight.
