"I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States," she wrote. "As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order."

I don’t see any of the Palinistas on here who used to flame everyone who had the common sense to post that she was not running. Where o where are they tonight?

“media will hound her more than they’ve ever done before. She’s wounded and they will pounce on her for the kill.”

Don’t understand that. Perhaps the mainstream media will do whatever benefits Obama’s (or a democrat’s) chances. Maybe that will mean saying nice things about Palin. I just don’t know.

I must say that the things I liked most about Palin are her views, her clarity of expression ... that sort of thing. Just as she says, the presidency would shackle her.

I don’t blame her for worrying about her girls.

So, if she does what she says she’s going to do then I’m fine with that.

A factor in her withdrawing might be that she thinks someone else has a better chance of beating Obama. She, after all, has hardore admirers and hardcore detractors, the latter including the mainstream media and the Republican Elites. She hasn’t slain the giant yet. She can’t do that by herself and she hasn’t had enough time to do everything she can do.

NBC News insulted her on tonight’s broadcast. Brian Williams mentioned in about one sentence that she had withdrawn and said nothing about why.

Had Palin stayed in the race, it would have been a tough one.

Like we all know this country is going down - Sarah and her family made the right decision - Seek His Kingdom FIRST - her whole life she always made the right decision - it’s no wonder she is blessed mightily! The rats and rinos don’t want the country restored with the candidates they pick and the fools here and everywhere who stand behind them.

Good. She was the one potential candidate who simply would guarantee an Obama re-election. Way too damaged from the 2008 election, the quitting of the Governorship of AK (spin it how you want - most of the country considers her a quitter), and the drama/reality-show that her life has become.

Stay on the sidelines, toss the red meat to the right crowds, become an advocate for sensible reforms (like Cain’s 9-9-9 plan) and she can contribute. But as a candidate, she would never get anywhere. She knew it, and wisely decided to stay out.

She’ll have a much better impact out of the race than she ever could in the race.

After the show, Williams did a fist pump and yelled "YES!".

I would have been on the SP bandwagon, but as I read the other night, and agree, if it's the "Herm" I'm not holding my nose in the voting booth this time.

And I absolutely do not think this will keep conservatives from voting...even if you were an avid fan of SP, the stakes for the country are too high, and too well known now.

Ok folks, time to love the one we are with.

I think Sarah Palin did this to help Herman Cain. Her not entering the race will hughly (SNICKER) boost Cain because in reality, they are both cut from the same cloth in many ways.

RAISE CAIN!!!!!!

Its not her time! BUT she will be waiting in the wings. I only hope she can run for Senate—we need her in Washington DC to speak for the people. There is still 2016 (if Obama is re-elected). Thank your for your service Sarah! Now you can endorse someone and work for them—I am sure you will get more than a Pizza from one guy running for President.

Guess I’ll have to change my tagline now. I think she could have easily beat ‘Bamster, but that’s under the bridge now. I will enthusiastically support my next-most-favorite canidate, Mr. Cain.

I’ll vote but only for my local guys. The presidential candidates are mush - not a backbone between them. This country is lost - Sarah is right, seek HIM/HIS KINGDOM first. I believe she spent time fasting and praying and got the answer she was waiting for. God bless the Palin’s. My type of people!

Darn... I met Sara and her parents at one of her book signings. I guess this means a VP spot is out as well?

Sorry, but Cain’s odds of winning are lower than Sarah Palin’s now.
