Stand With Arizona
Over 500 people turned out for a protest against R.I. Gov. Lincoln Chafee's support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens - which was implemented with a lawless decree by Chafee's education "czars" when he failed to get the Legislature to pass the outrageous bill.
Local media hailed the "unusually large turnout for a weeknight" at the the State House in Providence, which included many Stand With Arizona activists, along with members of Rhode Island for Immigration Law Enforcement, and average citizens furious at the Obama-style bypassing of elected officials on behalf of illegal aliens.
Pro-illegal alien groups also had a "rally", at which they planned to have children as shameful props to hand Gov. Chafee white roses to thank him for pandering to illegals by pushing magnet services like tuition and attempting to also push through drivers licenses for illegals. Chafee has been scheduled to receive the roses, but when he got word of the large expected protest, he chickened out, and hastily released a new schedule showing him elsewhere at the time of the rallies (the same cowardice he showed by bypassing the legislature on tuition subsidies for illegals).
Below is excellent media coverage of this outstanding rally. Thank you again to the many SWA activists from Mass., CT, R.I. - and even a few from NY and NH, who were able to come to Providence and make the entire state see how the people reject Chafee's lawless edict, and demand all services for illegals be stopped. And thank you also to the thousands of SWA activists from around the nation who called and emailed R.I. legislators and Gov. Chafee to show their opposition to this outrageous subsidy for lawbreakers.
Heartless in Rhode Island.
looks like even Northeast moderate Republicans are heartless too.
Who’da thunk it?....
“Over 500 people turned out for a protest against R.I. Gov. Lincoln Chafee’s support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens”
Shouldn’t the headline read ‘500 HEARTLESS patriots turn out against illegal-alien lover Gov. Chafee’?
I live in this abomination of a state and I plan on moving the first chance I get. Anyone remember Buddy Cianci who went to federal prison for extortion and bribery? He’s like a celebrated figure in this ass-backwards state.
Chafee is a Rhodent in Indiewear clothing. He was rhodent to his core back when he was in the senate. Never could trust that slimey tasbard. Hope they give him hades there in the isle of Rhode.
According to Perry, Heartless, totally Heartless ... /sarc
Ok, dumb question time:
Are these students currently illegal? Or is this for anchor babies - U.S. citizens?
How HEARTLESS of those anti-Latino racists!! Maybe Perry and Lindsay Graham can go up there and tell the bigots to "shut up"! /sarc
.
IN TEXAS THEY GET GRANTS ALSO> WE NEED AN EVEN BIGGER PROTEST IN TEXAS!!!! ESPECIALLY SINCE PAPA PERRY IS GONE!
I love it!
Was not aware of the grants for Texas illegals. Do you have a link with more info? Thanks!
Rick Perry’s Waterloo moment.
There is no comparison here to Texas. In Texas the legislature passed their version of the Dream Act with an almost unanimous vote of the Representatives of the People of Texas. Only 4 dissenting votes. Clearly the people of Texas were overwhelmingly in favor of their version.
Chaffee's version was a dictatorial decision against the will of the people of Rhode Island. What Chaffee did was as illegal as the aliens who will benefit from the decree.
Here's the difference for all you people in Rio Linda. In Texas the in-state tuition was the result of a duly passed law. In Rhode Island the in-state tuition is the result of a dictatorial decree.
Any Questions?
“Any Questions?”
Oh Masterful LPFOKETT GAHCOEEP-w/o*
Since this is Friday can we hijack this thread?
It other stories it indicates illegals must commit to seek legal status as soon as they are eligible, or lose their resident tuition. How can they seek legal status as soon as they are eligible, who is going to police this ? If any schools attempt to do this, there would be major protests to suggest schools are enforcing federal immigration laws. I believe at this current time, all must sign a piece of paper saying they will seek to gain legal status as soon as they are eligible..These schools cannot give what is not there. Does anybody really see any of these schools doing anything or follow up on those who did not commit to seek legal status as soon as they are eligible ?
More smoke and mirrors
