Here we have the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) investigating 15 cases of Legionnaires Disease issuing a Health Advisory -- warning the public of the risk of infection. An infection which is on the increase along the Atlantic states.
“What is Legionnaires’ disease; Legionnaires’ disease (LEE-juh-nares) is caused by a type of bacteria called Legionella. The bacteria got its name in 1976, when many people who went to a Philadelphia convention of the American Legion suffered from an outbreak of this disease, a type of pneumonia (lung infection). Outbreaks are when two or more people become ill in the same place at about the same time.” From the CDC web page.
Hummmm, lots of people, gathered together…where have we heard that before, hummm, I wonder.
Besides being a nuisance, the “occupy Wall Street” protest presents a risk to human health and safety – I believe that the mayor and the New York City Division of Public Health could make an argument that hundreds of transient protestors clustered together creates a risk to public health and safety – God forbid that New York City has its own outbreak of Legionnaires’ Disease – I think one could place the blame directly on the mayor for allowing this threat to public health and safety go on entirely way to long and create the environment where such an outbreak increases exponentially with everyday the unsanctioned protest is allowed to go on.
Go ahead mayor – Roll the dice make a bet with the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of New York –I’m sure they won’t mind when the city is under an epidemic of Legionnaires’ disease.
I mean…what are the odds anyway that hundreds or thousands would contract Legionnaires’ disease? I mean Delaware is like way, way far away, right.
Oh yeah. I forgot about those. NYC has a big problem with those evasive critters.
The Oboma Rally kids are going to be bringing those things home to their parents. Boy, are they going to be in big trouble!
Their parent's aren't going to be too happy about the body lice, either. Those kids are so screwed! No PlayStation for at least a week!

These protests are a wake up call for everyone. It's mental health week! See what can happen if you ignore your kids?
