Reuters’ Mark Hosenball today reported http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/05/us-cia-killlist-idUSTRE79475C20111005 that: “American militants like Anwar al-Awlaki are placed on a kill or capture list by a secretive panel of senior government officials, which then informs the president of its decisions, according to officials. There is no public record of the operations or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House’s National Security Council, several current and former officials said. Neither is there any law establishing its existence or setting out the rules by which it is supposed to operate.”

We’re losing our country to these secret decisions and panels and the WOT and the belief by some that our government is above the law and above the US Constitution. It is a cancer that is eating away at the USA and some are content with it....until it expands.

Wonder if Bill Ayers, an admitted, treasonous terrorist, is on the list?

The way I see it - if Obama has the panel for another 15 months or so, and then President Cain has the panel for 8 years, Mr. Cain could do A LOT of good things around the world.

Such as taking out the leaders of Iran and Venezuela, for example. It’s just going back to the way we used to deal with tyrants.

I’m most curious about who is on the panel. Pelosi? Reed? Jarret?

Even though the al qaida terrorists was snuffed out, the concern is what keeps others from being put on the list ? It is a bad direction towards re-establishing Star Chambers !

Actually, I see this is deal with AMERICANS. I’m still good. If ANY American takes up arms against this country on foreign soil...he’s FAIR GAME as far as I’m concerned. But I still like the precedent it sets for foreign tyrants...which is that we’re done playing footsie.

I’ll disagree when I think he’s wrong, which I usually do. I agree with him on the latest terrorist killing though. If Bill Clinton had the same policy, 9/11 may have been just another beautiful late summer day. This isn’t a situation to be handled by the US legal system. It is war

Possibly Martha Stewart and decidedly the vast majority of posters here will attest to that as a “good thing”

Not to worry.. just as soon as the Lefty nutcases can plant rumors that BUSH DID IT! then this story will officially have legs. The MSM employees and the White House can reveal how they are putting an end to this evil Bush thing. (As they continue it.)

That pattern seems to be emerging vis-a-vis Fast and Furious. Now that the Left has put out a story that BUSH DID IT! F&F officially now has legs.
