On Thursday, Constitutional watchdog Oath Keepers announced their support for the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy the Fed protests:
Oath Keepers sees good reason to stand in the streets with these awakening souls and protect their right to free speech, to peacefully assemble, and to redress their grievances to their government, as the Constitution prescribes for all Americans. That is one thing. Another facet of our initiative is to use these public gatherings to reach and teach many who now hunger for the truth -- we can show them how the Constitution will protect them better than an oversized, bloated Federal behemoth hell-bent on controlling every aspect of each citizen’s life.

Then I will make sure I am one less oath keeper! Thanks for posting this. I cannot believe OK supports such debauchery.
In other news, Christians flocked today to march in Gay Pride parades to convert the sinners there, while others bought items at adult bookstores to support the owner’s freedom of speech.
My first thought as well.... but... this is actually a rather interesting approach and could possibly result in converting a small handful of those are simply unaware of the truth.

Somehow the OathKeeper’s “join” position was incorrectly morphed into one of “support”.
A quick read reveals that nowhere in the annoucement on its website does it indicate it supports the philosophy behind the anti-capitalist’s (my word) street demonstrations.
Rather OK joins them in using the same constitutional rights of free speech and freedom of assembly to present its viewpoint regarding the Consitution and the Office of the Fed.

Glenn Beck said yesterday that those who hitch their wagon to these protest will regret it. Some of what they are saying sounds good.
However, they are dogs and one will get fleas.
Know where you stand.
Know what you stand for.
That is what is was thinking of as well. Some people run to the noise.
Better to stay calm, observe and prepare.
We each have two choices in this world. Think for ourselves and do what we each believe is the right thing to do, based upon our own values, or allow the MSM and politicians to control our thought process and beliefs.
I have strong conservative beliefs but will never be a puppet to the manipulations of the main stream media or to the games of many politicians.
One simple clue: The Wall Street financiers installed Obama and they were generously rewarded with trillions of our money as payback for their millions in donations. One example is how Obama bundler George Kaiser of Solyndra fame set up the scam so he would profit and put taxpayers on the hook. Now the banksters are pulling out all stops with the media to claim they are the good guys and the bad guys are angry taxpayers such as myself. Forget the media and make up your own mind.

The problem is that 99.99% of the anarchist Occupiers hunger for greater government control and would not hesitate to use the US Constitution to wipe their nether regions.
The Oath Keepers have been infected by mushy headed thinking.
These 'Occupy' protests are thinly veiled attacks on free-enterprise and they promote huge government spending and a teardown of traditional governmental limits. For OK to even think of supporting these leftist union punks is disgraceful and a contradiction to defense of the Constitution.
Oath Keepers would be counter protesting the “Occupy whatever” goons.
