I had to jump off a ladder yesterday because I decided to descend facing out and got overbalanced.

That’s they way by friends and I did our trip to the top years ago. Two days is much more enjoyable than a one day trip.

About 10 years ago we climbed Half Dome via the SW route called Snake Dike. Took the cable route down in the dark, they had already removed the stairs for the winter. It was a real “white-knuckler”.

I actually cannot believe they let people up there, especially without gear and some skills.
