Did you know this about Herman Cain?

All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!

• Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.
• Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
• In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.
• He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.

You forgot to mention that he also worked full-time for the Navy as a mathematician and physicist, developing ballistics for fighter planes and aircraft carriers.

What an incredible speech!

Cain is creating a wave of enthusiasm for 2012 and is riding that wave like a profession surfer.

If he keeps this up, he will be the nominee.

The man has something.

I know a lot of really good black people,Cain appears to be one of them.

Bad problem though is that when a white man thinks of a black man as a good person, the rest of the blacks look at him as an Uncle Tom.

Right now that is hurting Cain with the black Community.

It’s only hurting him with “brainwashed” blacks (Cain’s words). One of my two best friends is black, originally from Bronx, VERY conservative.....

There are plenty of blacks who would swing to Cain - I’d guess 20 - 30%........

“Right now that is hurting Cain with the black Community.”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I know exactly what you mean and you are right but it is NOT a factor to be concerned about. The mere fact of being Republican is practically a death sentence when appealing to the black voter, the fact of being a conservative Republican is doubly bad. Being black won’t hurt him with the black voters and it may get him a few more votes than Rick Perry would get from them.

The fun part is that the left will have to plan a whole new attack, they have always put forth the ridiculous meme that all left wingers are brilliant and all Republicans, especially conservative Republicans are stupid and racist. Let them try that with Herman Cain!

This is a GREAT speech. How tough is it for people to say these very simple, straightforward truths?

What a great speech - you can’t convince me he will not be the next President of the United States. Get aboard!

Mentioned Herman’s name to a black co-worker yesterday. “Hmmph. Nothing but a turncoat. I don’t like him.”

So, she will not support Cain because she perceives him as “turning on” her own race.

To me, these types of people are a lost cause. They do not see themselves as united with the rest of the country. They do not see themselves and having any desire to do what it takes to be successful in this country. They see themselves and victims, and deserving of special breaks and treatment. They want a president who will pander to them, who will punish the rest and exhault them ABOVE all others.

I do not desire to be “united” with these sorts of human beings. To me, they ARE brainwashed and LOST.

Just forget about them. We can do it without them. Perhaps one day, they will see that a black CAN be conservative, CAN unite and improve the country and the lot of EVERYONE, regardless of color. Perhaps one day they will learn what it means to be an AMerican.

It might still take EONS for these people to evolve to this point. Sorry at this point, we don’t have time to wait for that.

Wonder if illegals worked at any of his businesses? No one has asked him what he would do if he found that some were there. Rousing speeches will not get it. We need more information about who would be in a Cain administration and the policies he would implement. So far he seems to be carrying water for Romney with personal attacks on Perry. That is not presidential.
