Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder tried to stall the momentum building behind the Fast and Furious investigation by submitting a letter to Senate and Congressional investigators in which he continued to plead ignorance, and in which he did his best to undercut the progress of the investigation to this point. In the letter, Holder actually had the gall to re-affirm his feigned ignorance of Fast and Furious: “[I have] no recollection of knowing about Fast and Furious or of hearing its name prior to the public controversy about it.”

I compare it more to the false accusations over the Iran/Contra stuff during Reagan’s administration. At least then we were arming the good guys fighting the commies in South America(I was very young and don’t really remember the whole thing very well).

I’m sure the mainstream media is working overtime to try to dig up some dirt on Congressman Issa - an extramarital affair, illegal campaign contributions, a child out of wedlock, a 20 year old DUI charge, an overdue library book - anything that can be used to discredit Issa and shift the focus away from from Holder and Obama.

That's the another feature of the Clinton era defense. Use private investigators to dig dirt on you opponents and then blackmail and intimidate them into silence. If that does not work, then use the propaganda power of the Democrat owned Media to destroy and discredit them.
Another, Clinton era card that Obama is already playing is the “Create chaos and turmoil so that people get distracted or get scandal fatigue and just want it all to stop before it has serious negative impact on peoples 401ks and the country as a whole” card that the Clintons played so masterfully.
Protesters are not suddenly occupying Wall Street and Washington as a spontaneous movement. They are there to intimidate Wall Street Investors, Cooperate Officers and Washington politicians with the threat of violence and civil unrest if they don't back off and get back on the Obama bandwagon. Their true unstated, but inferred message is "Support and Re Elect Obama. No Obama, No Peace, No Justice"
You’re right on every point. The odd thing is the press buys their excuses. Most of us feel the press is biased - but what if they’re ‘bought’.
Dems have bought the so called protesters for “Occupy” and the so called press can’t seem to cover that story.
They couldn’t figure out nuclear secrets going to the Chinese during the Clinton years - as you say... or missing documents that just ‘showed up’ at the Clinton White House.
