WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa today sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder responding to his letter of October 7. The text of Chairman Issa’s letter to Attorney General Holder is below:
Dear Attorney General Holder:
From the beginning of the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious, the Department of Justice has offered a roving set of ever-changing explanations to justify its involvement in this reckless and deadly program. These defenses have been aimed at undermining the investigation. From the start, the Department insisted that no wrongdoing had occurred and asked Senator Grassley and me to defer our oversight responsibilities over its concerns about our purported interference with its ongoing criminal investigations. Additionally, the Department steadfastly insisted that gunwalking did not occur.

Operation Fast and Furious was the Department’s most significant gun trafficking case. It related to two of your major initiatives – destroying the Mexican cartels and reducing gun violence on both sides of the border. On your watch, it went spectacularly wrong. Whether you realize yet or not, you own Fast and Furious. It is your responsibility.

FWIW: I’m sure Holder has a very good insurance policy, the kind that ensures he’ll be around for a long time.
No doubt in my mind this letter is designed to force Holder's resignation. I hope it doesn't stop with Holder. He should be prosecuted and we also need to find out what TOTUS knew and when he knew it.
I think it is also meant to put the underlings on notice that this is as serious as a heart attack. So they better be ready.
Actually, it could be said of “boozers” at that time. They violated the law at the time, never giving thought of the blood being spilt just so they could get a good drink.

What?!!! He's covering his ass the best he can before he has to bend over and kiss it good-bye! He's Done! Burnt Toast! Finished! If he can duck this, he'll be known as the greatest escape artist that ever lived! The next step for Issa and Grassley is the impeachment of Eric Holder on the grounds of dereliction of duty, treason, gun-running, and accessory to murder.

I guess it really depends on whose delusion it is and which of those personalities you are at the time? LOL
I do not believe that your chain of reasoning is correct, but if you accept that logic, then anyone who voted for anyone who voted to enforce drug prohibition is equally guilty.
OK, how about this:
"Holder is going to Leavenworth for life, after he spends a dozen life terms in a Mexican jail!"
Somewhere along these revelations, Mexico is gonna want to extradite Holder in the matter of dozens of murders in Mexico caused by this AG ....................... FRegards
Perhaps. It is not impossible that the very highest levels of the Mexican government knew and tacitly approved of this operation. Most serious people believe that the top levels of the Mexican government are in bed with the Sinaloa Cartel, and the Sinaloa Cartel was the one receiving most of the guns.
This could explain why President Calderon is *not* actively complaining. Maybe, with enough domestic pressure, he will. If the top levels of the Obama administration can plausibly implicate him, maybe not.
