She apparently took advantage of a legal loophole. If you own an S corporation that in turn owns an asset, you are only required to show the corporation as an asset — not assets owned by the corporation. I don’t know if it’s trivial or not for a stranger to drill down into the corporation’s property without explicitly requiring disclosure of such assets. But if the law needs to be fixed, we should hardly blame Nancy Pelosi for following the old law in the meantime.
