Just a little something from the federal government to take the Occuzombies’ minds off of what it was they were doing before they got this good news.

Just leave it alone and let him rot in jail convicted of murder. Don’t give him a new jury. He’s never going to be executed anyway.

The court found that the jury was given flawed instruction, and thus not able to give leniency they would have otherwise.

A new jury (circus) is not required though. They can just leave his sentence at life in prison. I hope they do.

They probably will. The DA’s office likes to put up a lot of bluster, but they rather just let the case end and go away. Call me cynical.

I expect an "OJ Jury", which will want to actually Aquit him, but since they can only adjust his sentence, they'll give him the easiest time they can. That way, he can sell the movie rights, get Talk Show money, etc.

One and done, is what he SHOULD get for killing the cop (bullet).

Problem is, he's NOT rotting in jail. He has a better life in jail than many people on the outside.

That rumbling you feel is one Tom Marr getting ready to explode. Coming to the Philly in the late 80s, I did not know the issues over Mumia until Tom educated me one night during his show on the old WWDB in response to a caller. By that point, it was discussed down there in terms that assumed you knew the details so the two sides simply barked at each other. Nothing wrong, just normal for an area where it occurred. For a newcomer, it wasn't as clear till that night.

The caller was one of the Mumiabots who called to talk down Tom. Bad idea. Anyone who has had the pleasure of listening to Tom, either on his own show or subbing for the Great One, knows he can be, um, firm on the issues. On Mumia, let's just say it's probable that the caller still cannot sit down over the can of ass whoop he had opened on him by Tom.

True, but a new jury trial just to sentence him again will be a giant circus and achieve nothing but more publicity and press coverage for him.

The last thing he wants is less coverage.

If the DA elects to leave things as they are, with a life sentence, it’s basically the end of his legal options, I think.

I believe that's what will happen, but all bets are off the day Obama is run out of office.

Nothing good can come out of Phildelphia except an empty Greyhound. If Philly was in New York, where the city belongs, PA would be a red state by a 10% margin and never elect a Demorat to state or national office. A stain on the entire state of PA. God only knows what they will do there.

Philadelphia (aka West Camden) and NYC should be given to NJ. All three states would benefit.
