Leading Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said on Wednesday that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie would be on his short list for vice presidential running mate if he won the Republican presidential nomination.
A day after Romney won Christie's endorsement, the former Massachusetts governor appeared alongside Christie for an interview with NBC's "Today" show and said they were "great friends."
"We agree on a whole host of issues," Romney said. "We've spent time together over the last year getting to know each other better. I've asked for his counsel on policy matters and so I think we're pretty sympathetic on the issues that matter."

Two RINOS, no thanks!
Lose-Lose.
Great, two RINOs. That should bring out the conservative vote.
Another reason to do what we can to stop the Romney train.
Perry is the way to go, IMO. Blemishes and all...
By the way, did Cain attack Romney and/or his policies last night, as he claimed he would?
For President Obama.
Thus the Democrats think they have the Tea Party on the Ropes.
Tea Party, and America, your hope is not the Republican party.
Now, who will Sarah Palin endorse?
Feel free to shoot your flaming arrows at me. I can take it.

So when Reagan gave us the 11th Commandment, he was being a RINO?
Romney is not my first choice by any means, but he will be light years better than Obama if he ends up being the nominee. Can we really afford four more years of Obama — appointing judges to the federal bench (not just the supreme court), bowing to foreign leaders, spending money and raising taxes?
If its Romney, do us all a favor, hold your nose and pull the lever for him. At least he is a businessman, with some sense of what it takes to make the private sector work.
No, he did not...and ALLAN GREENSPAN has been the best Fed Chairman???????????? Both Cain & Bachmann are being used by Romney, they don't have the money to stay in much longer & they are courting Romney for a VP spot now. Neither one of them has what it takes to be our president. The field is narrowing.
I think it is a bit premature to start talking about VP picks. It is a long way to the nomination and I don't think you've even cracked 30% in any credible national poll matchup against anybody by Obama. Have you?
This kind of talk at this point certainly isn't going to help your chances to seize the brass ring, although it may help the Country Club Republicans open their checkbooks.
As a hedge against a RINO President or as a help to a President Cain.
No flaming arrows from me....I’m with you.
If it’s a Romney/Christie ticket, Obama gets
re-elected. If that happens, it’s time to reform the
Republic of Texas. Freedom has to survive somewhere.
Wow, that makes all excitedun.
Romney does nothing for me. And the more I see of Cwisty the less I like.
An undream ticket.

I will vote for the GOP nominee- whoever that is... It’s a broken glass thing for me... Anything to stop the Kenyan Marxist
As for the 11th... I’m all for it, but his critiques of Perry on many issues, and none of Romney (even when he says he WILL), seems a bit hypocritical to me
Fabulous!
I heard Christie say, in his press conference when he announced his non-candidacy for President that he would not even consider the VP position since his personality did not fit a #2 slot.
