Is Sarah Palin Really Out of the Race? (Sal Russo, TPX)

Is Sarah Palin Really Out of the Race?

Dear Tea Party Supporter,

The liberals are still chortling because they think they have gotten rid of Sarah Palin by her decision not to run for President in 2012. But I have news for them when it comes to Sarah Palin: “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”
.
Governor Palin has said from the very beginning that she is going to use her voice to advance the conservative cause in America, and I know she means it. When she was picked to be the Republican nominee for Vice-President, there was not a more exciting day in the entire election cycle for conservatives.
.
She electrified us from that first speech, her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention and in her travels crisscrossing America advancing the cause of freedom.  We were honored and proud to have Governor Palin appear at many of our Tea Party Express rallies across the country. She was a knockout whether we were in Searchlight, Nevada, Boston, Massachusetts, or Manchester, New Hampshire.
.
.

.
I had the great honor of starting my professional life working for Ronald Reagan beginning with his first campaign to win the Republican nomination for Governor in 1966. Those were bleak days for conservatives, and Reagan with his eternal optimism gave so many of us hope that there was a brighter future.
.
But the liberal elites couldn’t stand the thought of Ronald Reagan succeeding. He was viciously attacked as a know-nothing actor who possessed extreme right-wing views that would bring destitution to the poor and nuclear holocaust to the world if he were ever elected President.
.
They sure got that one wrong. I think Ronald Reagan was the greatest President of the 20th Century!
.
While the constant attacks on him took their toll, they didn’t slow him down one bit. He knew that his plans for a stronger, more prosperous America were right. And he had the determination to win over the American people and then make the changes our country needed. He also said that every generation will have to fight the collectivist mind-set that will want to destroy the America he called that “shining city on a hill.”
.
We have the fight going on again now. President Barack Obama has been a disaster – maybe even worse than the President Jimmy Carter that Reagan defeated in 1980.  We are not going to have Sarah Palin as our nominee to defeat Obama, but I know we will have her on the front lines to make sure we restore in Washington the principles that have made America great.
.
.

.
I have to admit that her decision left me with some sadness. But then I realized that this wasn’t the end, but it was the beginning of a new chapter of Governor Palin standing up for America. She will be out there supporting good, solid conservative candidates for public office. When the book is written on the 2012 election, I bet there will be a big chapter on how effective Governor Palin was in helping to win elections across this great country.
.
The Tea Party movement has been successful because almost everyone in the movement has been willing to swallow their ego and work hard to elect the best people to public office. This is going to be a tough fight, but if we all work together we can do it. I know Governor Palin will be right there with us.

Since Perry imploded, I am almost wishing she would reconsider, and if Cain implodes... I think I might have to start begging.

Well, Palin was certainly effective in the 2010 election, to put it mildly. Unfortunately, the backstabbing slime in the GOP establishment gave her no credit whatsoever, and instead blamed her for races that were ‘not’ successful! It seems as though the lesson is that it doesn’t really pay to be a ‘good soldier’ when it comes to an organization like the GOP. The Tea Party is now finding this out as well.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that, green.

Palin isn't boxed in by the GOP.

And btw the Tea Party Movement knew that from the git go. That's one of the reasons it was needed.

Catch up greene!

I don’t think Cain is going to implode.

We don't need a cheerleader. We need a Conservative POTUS with Government experience and no record of being OWNED by Corporations or lobbyists.

If Sarah doesn't somehow get in THIS YEAR'S Presidential Race and win, IMO, we are utterly screwed.

I think the implosion has already begun. Remember it took 3 debates of everyone pilling on him to destroy Perry, and Cain has only been through 1 with everyone pilling on him so far, and I already started to see through the veneer.

Nothing Sarah Palin does or says will have any bearing on the next election.

Her ONE CARD was She Might Be President. That’s it. She Might Be President.

That card engendered breathless terror in the MSM, hence the constant coverage of her every move and utterance. And the derision, of course.

Supporters listened to her endorsements because She Might Be President.

She has taken that card out of the deck. She’s handed over her weapons and broken her sword. Whatever metaphor you want to use — she’s out of the game unless she reconsiders or decides to run for the Senate.

having said that though, I hope you are right because I have a ton of money bet on Cain now at long odds, that if he actually won the nomination would pay off my home mortgage :)

so go Cain!

lol

She’s handed over her weapons and broken her sword.

I believed from the beginning that her power was based on her candidacy. She is now one of a number of voices calling for a conservative majority.

This is off sunject (sort of) but ... I purchased a copy of "UNDEFEATED" yesterday at WalMart in one of their $5 bins and when we played it, the sound track overpowered the narration.

Is this the way it was produced or do I have some kind of rip-off?

By concentrating, I got the narration, but it was work for my brain to separate the sound track from the narration.

I got one when it came out, with the audio book as a rider.

I haven't watched the movie yet, but I do know that lots of movies and music are hard for me to hear the narrative and lyrics because of the background sound being so loud.

It my case it is because of ear damage.

The book audio disc I wanted to listen to in my vehicle, but my CD player doesn't play mp3's.

Dern that advanced techknowlegy!
