Jesse Jackson, Jr.: Obama should declare national emergency, add jobs (Marxism-title cut short)
Daily Caller ^ | 11/13/11 | Nicholas Ballasy

“President Obama tends to idealize — and rightfully so — Abraham Lincoln, who looked at states in rebellion and he made a judgment that the government of the United States, while the states are in rebellion, still had an obligation to function,” Jackson told TheDC at his Capitol Hill office on Wednesday.

“On several occasions now, we’ve seen … the Congress is in rebellion, determined, as Abraham Lincoln said, to wreck or ruin at all costs. I believe … in the direct hiring of 15 million unemployed Americans at $40,000 a head, some more than $40,000, some less than $40,000 — that’s a $600 billion stimulus. It could be a five-year program. For another $104 billion, we bailout all of the states … for another $100 billion, we bailout all of the cities,” he said.

There is a part of me (much against my fear of another civil war) that is quietly saying: “Bring it. Time to take out the trash. All of it.”

This economic genius does understand that paying someone $40 k a year is not the total cost of hiring someone ?

Taxes, benefits, traininng, compliance, regulation.....not even talking about the additional cost of union jobs...

Maybe Jesse jr should stick to being the son of a famous race hustler and send back his economic degree from whatever Internet university he bought it from

We have always had communists in Congress. We used to call them liberals and now we call them “progressives.”

As long as we keep their numbers as small as their brains and characters, we keep them on a leash. Currently we have too many. They came in with Obammy. However, the Tea Party knocked them back and hopefully, will do so again in the next election.

They created the unemployed, and now they’re trying to get them to revolt. Not so unbelievable with this crowd.

And,Jesse, after you’ve paid them this year, are you gonna lay them off next year? Or this just a new 600 billion dollar entitlement for a paltry 15 million folks our of a nation of 300 million?

Marxist dictatorship? The first place name that comes to mind in that regard is of course Chicago, Illinois.

It never occured to the Founding Fathers to prevent the service of a "legally" elected insane person to Congress.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a clearly insane person meets the residency and age requirement prescribed in the Constitution, and is elected by his constituency, what mechanism or test exists to challenge his inability to participate in the process expected from a normal person?
