INCOMING!!! DUCK ‘N COVER!!!
Cain knows that he would be dead if 0bamacare were in effect when he was sick. I trust him to kill 0bamacare if elected.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
obamacare doesn’t effect politicians. Maybe he wants to be elected so he won’t suffer under obamacare.
This is NOT a positive article and you would see many more like this, should Cain get the GOP nomination. What this article really does is keep the specter of cancer above Cain’s head, subtly reminding people that he is a high health risk to be elected president.
Someone mentioned Tsongas, who said his cancer was cured, and died a few years later.
I hope Cain lives a long, healthy, happy life. But even the doctors said his chance of relapse or not is 50/50. Nobody knows what can happen to anyone, we could elect the healthiest person and something could happen to him/her, but people do think about it, when someone already has a higher chance of getting sick during his presidency.
Sad, but true, Steve Jobs died 8 years after first diagnosed with cancer.
I never brought up Cain’s health - you posted the article, I am merely pointing out that his health would be on center stage, with “concerned” innuendos in the MSM, should he run against Obama. Technically, if he chose the right VP, this could be mitigated, but don’t underestimate the viciousness of the Obama campaign in the general election.
He went on too many LDS trips.
Not disqualifying, BUT a serious consideration. DON’T GIVE ME MCCAIN as an example. That was a mistake too.
Cain is too old and too sickly. Not to mention inexperienced in political matters and foreign affairs.
I like him. He could serve in the cabinet. He has too many negatives to be president. We can do a lot better. Newt for instance. Newt has problems too, but he is healthy and younger. He is brilliant, most experienced candidate in the field. We have inexperience right now and we know how that has worked out. We need someone who can hit the ground running. No time for OJT.
E: We need someone who can hit the ground running. No time for OJT.
And who among the other 7 would be acceptable?
Obama’s hidden his medical records so if the Left goes after Cain’s cancer, we should demand Obama release the medical records he hid before entering office.
That’s funny, Obama has stage V brain disease and we’re the ones who are dying.
“...there are no limitations on what he can or cannot do...”
In so many ways Herman Cain is actually living the American dream! I am finding myself respecting this man more and more each day.
bttt
Maybe he’s running for president because it’s on his bucket-list.
..get ready for some Paul Tsongas stories...
You can’t compare Jobs to Cain. They had two different types of cancer.
But, because you chose to compare the two... Steve Jobs didn’t immediately have surgery. He chose unconventional medical remedies to treat his cancer, first. He didn’t rush off and get the most effective treatment, right away.
Cain chose the best medical option for his cancer, and he’s still here.
The Presidency is a stressful job. VP pick will be more critical than usual.
I agree with you about Cain. Secretary of Commerce, maybe, but not president. The country has already seen what comes of putting an amateur in the office. Voters will not make the same mistake again. Gingrich has a lot of baggage, but he knows how to get things done in Washington; he has a vision of where he wants to go; and he’s no pushover who will knuckle under to Democrats or the MSM. And I don’t think anyone would disagree that he would leave Obama on his knees sniveling in the corner at the end of a debate. I would love to see that.
Newt: Absolutely disqualified due to serial adultery. A man who screws around on his WIVES(!!!) will screw over anybody or anything. Sharing a couch with Pelosi promoting policy is another disqualifier. He needs a show on Fox like Huck.
Willard Romney: No wonder so many “moderates” like him. Regardless of their opinions, at one time or another Willard has agreed with everyone. Lack of convictions and a liberal record is an absolute disqualifier.
Bachmann: Seems to be quite addled, like on meds or Botox has seeped through her cranium. Of course if I had made a career of dealing with the IRS, raised 18 foster kids and five “biological” children (no mention of how many android children), I couldn’t remember what state I was born in, nor could I keep John Wayne and John Wayne Gacey straight. Absolutely disqualified due to PTSD.
Huntsman: Good Lord! If his Daddy hadn’t put a silver boot up his rectal sphincter, he would be a professor at a Division II-A college in flyover country, and he certainly would NOT be teaching Logic. Disqualified on so many levels.....DURN!
Paul: He is the crazy Uncle. He wants to convert to real money when our debt is SOOOOO big the only hope we have to ever pay it is to inflate the currency! Furthermore, he blames the USA for Islamic terrorism, while ignoring the historical fact that the 50 year break we had in the 1400 year war Islam has conducted against the West was due to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in WW1, only reviving when Wilsonian self rule was enacted and petrodollars funded rearming. I will not tar him with the other possible reason. Disqualified due to denial of history and carrying ideology to absurdity, regardless of how correct he is on the size, scope and power of the Fedgov.
Perry: Another “conservative” from Texas. The only differences between him and the Bushes is he isn’t the first generation son of carpetbaggers, and he is so whiney he even gets his wife to do it for him. Eleven years leading Texas to ever bigger budgets. Eleven years of neglecting/refusing to use the National Guard or even the Rangers to guard the border. He pushed or still is pushing the Trans Texas Corridor and is a “free” trade globalist. Yes, he is indeed 1,000 times better than “O”, but 1,000 times 0 is still 0. I could hold my nose and pull the lever for him in the general, but......
Cain: Supported TARP but just thinks it was done wrong. Right by half. He likes Alan Greenspan. He did not see a real estate bubble in 2005 (hindsight is much clearer) like the supporters of all the other candidates did (sarc). Squishy on strict application of the Bill of Rights, saying states and localities can restrict 2nd Amendment rights. (I’m waiting on a state or locality to restrict the 16th Amendment, or maybe the 14th....LOL.) Weak on foreign policy. THE ONLY PERSON IN THE FIELD WHO STARTED WITH NOTHING, HAS A DEGREE OUTSIDE OF THE HUMANITIES, AND MADE HIS MONEY OUTSIDE OF POLITICS IN THE REAL WORLD. HE HAS ACTUALLY FIRED PEOPLE, THE TREATMENT THAT HALF OF THE FEDERAL WORKFORCE NEEDS. HE SPEAKS HIS MIND VERY DIRECTLY WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.
Yep, this list started with the LEAST acceptable candidate. I hate voting for the lesser of two evils, but I’ll be voting for Herman Cain, the least of seven evils.
It sounds to me like he’s as cured of cancer as anyone ever gets. However, the real solution to this issue is for Mr. Cain to pick a darned good VP running mate. So many candidates pick a lackluster VP — basically, someone who won’t outshine them! I think Cain is secure enough in his own skin and his own abilities to pick someone who is very, very capable. He needs to pick someone who we would not mind having as President.
I presume you are talking of Mitt.
