Sign Suggestions for OWS Protest

Posted on 10/14/2011 11:57:12 AM PDT by martinidon

I am thinking about going to the OWS protest in Phoenix on Saturday. Any suggestions on a clever sign I can carry? I will post pictures....

Hold up signs with Exxon-Mobil’s, Halliburton’s and other corporate logos on them. :-)

Are you hoping for something that, at first glance, makes the protesters think you’re one of them, but will be understood by people who know better? If so, maybe something like “End Crony Capitalism” or “Get the government OUT of my way”?

In a news article I read, one protester had: “We're here, we're unclear, get used to it!”

sorry, I did not go. Something better came up. So instead of mingling with the unwashed, I went to the Talking Stick Casino to stimulate the Indians and had a really nice dinner at the Orange Sky restaurant. (Which I highly recommend)

Sounds like you chose wisely.

We don’t patronize Ft. McDowell casinos (a few years ago, they made an attempt to steal a zoo full of animals from some people who had been leasing their land out by the original Bingo hall), but we donate regularly to the other tribes operating in the area. Hon-Dah (near Show Low) is a great place to go when it’s like a blast furnace here in the valley. We like Ak-Chin because they still have smoking rooms in the Hotel.

This was the new Casino Arizona at Talking stick. Just off the 101 and Indian Bend Rd. Very nice place. I used to go to the Ak-Chin but the with the new casinos around I can get rid of my money quicker and not have to have a long drive home :)
