When faced with overbearing inflation and bureaucracy run rampant, the communists convinced the German people of the 1920s and 30 that uniting under the red banner of international communism was the only solution. Adolph Hitler and the Nazis were the nationalist answer to that, telling Germans what they wanted to hear that they need to unite under the banner of a German Reich.
History repeats itself. In the 1930’s many Americans were in favor of Hitler’s reforms for Germany. Americans have never liked international communism because we consider ourselves to be special and above the rest, just like the Germans. A rise of American Fascism may be the unintended consequence that Obama/Soros did not plan on when they set out to convert America to euro-socialism because National Socialism is socialism too.

And, of course, they are joined by the American Democratic Party and it's leaders (Obama, Pelosi, etc.). Birds of a feather...

First Al Qaeda threw in their support which caused the DemocRATS to throw in their support which caused Ahmadinejad and the Iranian mullahs to throw in their support and now, the Nazi Party throws in their support. Looks like hippies are going to be “in” this year.

They incorporate both left and right. Hitler's claim to the orb, scepter, crown and sword of the Holy Roman Empire wasn't very leftist.

The beer halls in 1920's Germany held a good deal fewer than 350-500.
It is, but for the sake of accuracy, that name was chosen to appeal to the lower classes that were sympathetic to socialism. An early party platform actually had socialist points in it -- but they had fallen by the wayside by the time the party came to power.
Nazi doctrine wasn't really socialist -- it was closer to fascist. Some have tried to call it "right-wing socialism", but I think that's trying to stretch the meaning, just as the Nazi's did.

One of the points that the movie recounts is how the Nazi Party was originally formed - as a splinter of the Communist Party over a rift caused by race issues. The Nazis were adamant about focusing on race; the Communists had different priorities. They continue to share most other core beliefs but hate each other because of the rift over race, among other things.
The Nazis adopted various Christian trappings in a craven effort to widen their appeal but no Church scholar would consider them a “Christian” organization.
