Mexicans looking to sneak into the United States have a brand new obstacle ... a gun-toting Steven Seagal ... who has just become an official border sheriff in Texas.
Seagal was sworn in as a sheriff's deputy in Hudspeth County, Texas this weekend ... and according to a sheriff's dept. spokesman, he'll be working full-time to help secure the border Texas shares with Mexico.
Shockingly, the rep insists Seagal's work with the department has nothing to do with his A&E reality show, "Steven Seagal: Lawman."
One of the sheriffs told Chron.com, "It became very clear to me that Mr. Seagal is not in this for the celebrity or the publicity ... He's like the rest of us that live down here, he has a sincere passion for his country and he wants to do more to help."

Still the best part was when Stevie said JKD was a joke and Bruce Lee’s former students wanted to beat the “aikido” out of him, and he never responded. It was on Black Belt magazine many years ago.

It has always been more than legend that Inosanto did not want to lose to an amateur like Seagal in Out for Justice’. The same way Bennie the Jet’ Urquidez told Jackie Chan in Wheels on Meals ‘Jackie, this is just a movie so hold your punches. You know I can smash you within seconds in real life” so Jackie Chan held back his punches in the movie.

I have no doubt he is a good martial artist but those burrito lunches kicked his ass. That man is fat.
Poteet, Inosanto and Urquidez all have gyms here in L.A. I met them all. Check out the arnis’ fight in Out for Justice. Seagal hit DI TWICE, until the DI said “you either do as we both trained for this scene or I will knock you out” so on the THIRD try, you can easily notice Seagal slowing down his arnis’ stick strikes.
Then look at Game of Death. Inosanto, at that time was already a full-fledged arnis master but Bruce learned it so quickly that DI was hesitant to get his ass kicked on film but he was the student and Bruce was the sensei.
