Is the Obama administration literally rewriting history when it comes to the Solyndra scandal?
"Someone affiliated with the Department of Energy has been going back to make changes to press releases posted on the Internet weeks and months ago," Eamon Javers of CNBC reported this afternoon.
It remains to be seen what attention if any this attracts from other media outlets, such as the broadcast networks.
"The changes occurred in two press releases from the Department of Energy's loan guarantee program — the same program that has been the center of controversy surrounding the failed solar company Solyndra," Javers noted. "In a statement, a spokesman for the Department of Energy said that the changes were made by outside contractors for the department responsible for maintaining the Loan Programs Office website."

Since they are helping re-write all this BS, someone then needs to get it out there, hence the media...
I don’t claim authorship of this quip but it’s spot-on here - Orwell’s 1984 was meant as a cautionary tale, not an instruction manual. Every day we see it being applied.
Well at least no one is talking about the U.S. credit rating being downgraded from Triple A anymore. Or that Obamie said the unemployment rate would be under 8% a year ago. Or that Obamie said that by year three, if the ecomonic crisis were not solved, that he’d be a one-term president.
I’m probably racist for bringing that up.
The “memory holes” of the Orwellian novel “1984” are working at full capacity. When there was a shift in the emphasis the IngSoc regime was putting on the propaganda distribution networks, the old interpretations were discarded and new ones put in place, changing all the “historic” records and abolishing the items that were in conflict with the official party line.
It never happened.
Except for the vast number of screen captures that are stored in somebody’s computer, and fed back into the general consciousness on cue when some fact or set of circumstances is being explained away by the authorities, and it is obvious they are lying.
Simple. Isolate and keep incommunicado the restless spirits that insist on disrupting the proceedings with those accursed and inconvenient facts from the past.
We are so close to “re-education camps”.

I used a similar quip back in 2007. I believe that it just “came to me”; but it certainly didn’t originate with me. I did a bit of searching, and found an article from Mother Jones Magazine, that used the phrase in 1994. Naturally, they used it to make Big Brother a Republican(go figure). Here are the links:

Perhaps the Occupiers distraction is doing just that, to be in the news 24/7 to distract from the real news including this.
You know this was done, among other things, with an eye to the inevitible lawsuits and investigations to come over Solyandra. Doctoring evidence is obstruction of justice.
