Palins opinion is neither desired nor given any credence.
Your use of the passive voice is rather sneaky.
I prefer the active voice: I appreciate Palin’s opinions and I give them plenty of credence.
I am not alone.
You have a Perry tag line so let me ask, while Palin was in Texas to help Perry get reelected when Kay Bailey Hutchinson challenged him, did anyone give her opinions credence then??

Speak for yourself.
There are fewer than ten people whose opinion on political situations I personally give a damn about. In that tiny handful that I do pay attention to and give credence to is Sarah Palin.

I hope nobody is jumping to the false assumption that Palin was endorsing Newt by what she said. I would paraphrase her as simply saying, “Newt was the only adult acting person in the debate.” It was more of an admonishment of the other candidates than it was a praising of Newt.

I agree but his baggage is just too great, If you're trying to impress us with the "Gingrich/baggage" terminology, you lose. 400,000 FReepers have heard it thousands of times over the last five years or so. Most all of us agree about his "baggage."

It was an idea from Heritage in 1989, 17 years before RomneyCare. They later dismissed and rejected the mandate concept.
WSJ has a piece from former low level Heritage workers on the "mandate" history there.
It's disingenuous of Romney to paint Newt as an intellectual father of RomneyCare and ObamaCare for supporting Heritage's concepts in discussions as an alternative to HillaryCare 13 years before Romney's scheme became law.
It never went anywhere as policy, and the idea itself was rejected upon greater reflection. Romney learned nothing from this.

You don't like Palin, but you support a cross between Forrest Gump, Joe Isuzu and Elmer Gantry?
A debate victory for Perry is coming in last without totally embarrassing himself.

If all I knew about Gingrich is what I have seen in the debates, I would not only vote for him, but I would volunteer for his campaign and give him money.
However, I have watched the undisciplined, sometimes conservative, sometimes sitting on Pelosi's couch Gingrich for too many years.
IF he were to win the nomination, I would support him over President Obama with enthusiasm. But I don't think that issue will arise.

If I have to hold my nose and vote for one of those monkeys on that stage last night, Gingrich is the closest to somebody who knows what he's doing.
I've been over Newt for a long time, but I'm beginning to think he's the guy for the job.
Otherwise we're getting Myth.
