This is the final nail in the coffin of the California economy. Freaking morons sitting at home thinking that this won't affect them don't realize that the first industry to be hit with the carbon tax will be the electrical utilities. Cry me a river when your electric bill doubles next year. And when the heck do I get to vote on who makes up the membership of this board which is going to have a hugely negative direct affect on my life? Oh well at least the Earth's temperature will go down 0.000000001 degrees next year.

Like Greece, the demise of California is inevitable.... =.=

This will turn California into a green paradise... /s.
In the short term, a lot will depend on how high they set the carbon costs. They could soon chase out whatever industry and power is left, and if they work at it, also make fuel cost 50% more in California than in adjoining states.

CA won’t be bailed out by the rest of the country next fall after the upcoming massacre at the polls.
In geological terms wonder how long it will take for CA to merge with Europe/Greece once again.

Just hoping the man-made climate change accelerates the san andreas fault line through massive earthquakes and 90% of the nations problem slides off into the ocean.
Was hoping the August Quake would do the same to DC.

Well, California was never a state to let common sense stop them from doing stupid things. Ah, the hippies, queers and perverts, druggies, eco-freaks and illegals running the state. Should be hitting third world status within a decade.

In other neuws:
As a part of crap and trade all the farts will be taxed.
Special fart tsar will establish fart department and agents will be following people and if they fart, they will measure the fart gas. Vegetarian farts will be taxed at half tax.

Is it possible that Californians...the ones who are still barely hanging on, see that the dems are tightening the thumb screws; actually veer to the right in the general election and finally go republican. Could happen.

If you couldn’t get out of Kali before...now is a good time to step up your efforts.
If you decided not to get out of Kali before, hopefully you will wake up.
Let’s move all of the Occupy Unemployement movements to California so they can all live together.

Any Californians planning on building, do it now. When this kicks in,concrete will be non existent. Also, CARB and the agenda 21 crowd just won a major legal battle against home builders.
Developers have been able to largely avoid the same regulations that apply to a smokestack," said Paul Cort, an Oakland attorney who represented the Sierra Club and Environmental Defense Fund in the case. "But these projects do create pollution by adding to the vehicle miles traveled."

And Lastly, CARBs systematic removal of class 8 trucks begins 1-1-2012

A little math:
- The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere: 0.0392% (O2 is 20.95% by comparison)
- The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere caused by human activity 1.064 x 10^-9.
- The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere caused by California: diddly / squat.
- The amount harm to Californians due to this law: We'll know when we see how much further the economy falls.
- Self-satisfaction gained: priceless
