LOL--Where do you find these things? Not only is Perry tongue-tied, he can't clap in time with the rest of the group. In honor of the video, I'll use a variant of the Yiddish term klots:
Rick Perry is a klutz.

What you just said was only part of my point, which was Iowa was wide open and polls this far out can be wrong, the money and the organization is still in development.

Good idea to post a link for Cain, if you’re a suuporter of his - he will need to raise MUCH more money to begin to compete with Romney and Perry.

Iowa can be lost but a win will help with the $$$ as well.

“So you want an income tax plus a new sales tax? Plus special favors for the inner cities to attract your job to go there? All of which will require new bureaucracies to administer.”

No, but I understand that you’ve been attacked from all directions in this thread, so I won’t take it personally that you’re lashing out at me, and putting words into my mouth. I like Cain, but hate 9-9-9, I have said it on every thread in which I took part in that discussion.

“I am against all taxes.”

I’m not, because our Government was intended to have a few roles, and those have to be paid for. I prefer they be paid for by constitutional taxes (tariffs, excises and duties) directly linked to the service provided (such as stamps for the post office, toll roads/gas taxes, import duties to pay for border agents and customs officials, etc.), which you cna opt out of by not using the good or service over which they administrate. But that is a far, far cry from what the government is doing now. We agree on more things than we disagree on, and I still value your opinion. I ask that you try and differentiate between those with legitimate criticism, who may be in agreement with you on most or nearly all issues, and those who are attacking you in a knee jerk reaction. Lest you become them...

This most not be a liberal main stream lieing media poll that would put Romney way ahead and try to convince us Romney is our man.

Agreed, 19% flat income tax is way too high—I’d rather have the 9% and eventually roll that back to 0% with the abolition of the IRS, as Cain’s plan suggests.

Naturally, I’m against any and all forms of taxation, but I’d prefer the sales tax over a flat income tax. Firstly because a sales tax is more consistently visible than an income tax—the latter only shows up on your paychecks and tax returns, etc. I’d rather keep it constantly thrown up in people’s face how much they’re being extorted by the State. A sales tax accomplishes this end better than a flat tax.

Secondly, a sales tax minimizes class warfare tactics by better assuring that everyone has “skin in the game” so to speak. An income tax is still a tax on success, whether it’s flat or progressive.

When we trim the fedgov enough, we won’t need any direct taxes at all.

I want to say, that I thank you for your post, you’ve described my feelings (and what I KNOW to be true, also), and I thank you for taking the time to write it. This bears repeating:

“Firstly because a sales tax is more consistently visible than an income tax—the latter only shows up on your paychecks and tax returns, etc. I’d rather keep it constantly thrown up in people’s face how much they’re being extorted by the State...An income tax is still a tax on success, whether it’s flat or progressive.”
