After stumbling out of the gate in his run for the GOP presidential nomination, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich's campaign coffers are rising in direct proportion to his poll numbers.
The campaign is becoming really fun, said Gingrich, who announced his candidacy for the White House on May 11, only to have a half-dozen key and senior campaign staffers resign within six weeks.
Not content with the publicity from their walkout, former staffers hurt their former boss with gossip about his spending, and the role of his wife in the campaign.

I like Newtbut I don’t think the American public wants to put Chuckie in the Whitehouse. I know it’s not fair but that’s the way it is. He has too many negatives that can and will be exploited.
Someone (or perhaps several) have suggested a “Cain/Gingrich” ticket. Surprisingly enough, I find that pretty attractive. An experienced successful outside-the-beltway executive and a policy wonk.
Newt, would made a good VP for Cain, as would Bachmann.
I’d rather see Gingrich/Cain.
I could live with Newt.
You don’t suppose Newt is “on a roll” because he has outshone everyone else in the debates so far, do you?
DUH.
Me too, Romney is a no go..
I would PAY to see a Newt/Obama debate!!!
Ditto....I also heard Newt/West(:
If it’s Chuckie versus Shmucky I think Chuckie wins.
Newt 2012.......
You want Obama, or a guy - qualified, conservative, experienced smart - who also had a dumb moment on a couch with stretch Pelosi? Because it’s starting to look like that will be our choice.
(I admire Cain, but he’s making it up as he’s goes along on foreign policy, and the stakes are too high for that.)
In spite of all the garbage that he is carrying, he is still the smartest of them all by far.
The trouble is that he has not given any indication that he would dump some of that rubbish.
In a national debate with Obama, Newt would leave Bambi crying in the men’s room during halftime.
Given the local PC of FR, will you vote for Willard should he be the nominee?
he will only “roll” as far as the money backers let him roll, and with Cain rising as the anti-Romney candidate, I don’t think that will be much past the Iowa and NH primaries.
Predict Bachmann, Huntsman, and Santorum will be gone by Turkey Day, Newt may hold on a little longer.
the more I see of Newt at rhese debates the more I like him and will vote for him.
He has not attacked anyone, he can wipe the floor with zero and he certainly has more knowledge than most on history, founding fathers, constitution etc.
Plus he is not prone to making stupid remarks at the wrong moment
Belief.
