Despite Godfathers Pizza CEO Herman Cain's precipitous rise in the polls, New York Times columnist David Brooks seems to think that the Republican presidential nomination is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romneys to lose.
Its not a primary process. In the primary process you have several candidates and they go after each other. We don't have that. We have one plausible candidate and a bunch of other guys who are prepping him for the Obama onslaught. So, basically they attack him.

Brooks? As if anyone cares. Does this yo-yo ever go west of Amsterdam Avenue?
Excellent! Romney needed that like another hole in the head. Several moderates I know hate that Brooks calls himself a Republican.
But what do Kathleen Parker, Chris Buckley and Peggy Noonan think?
Well then, that settles it.
I thought “plausible” means believable.
“David Brooks: Romney is the only ‘plausible’ candidate”
Well then, that settles it.
Yes, if Brooks says Romney, that means it cannot be Romney.
You got that right. Total Manhattan wannabee.
David Brooks sold his soul to the Satanists decades ago. Who cares what these communists/atheists think, including their anointed Mitt. They only want the destruction of our free republic and another puppet in there for Soros and the muslim brotherhood to manipulate.
Only the New York Times and Mitt Romney really believe that David Brooks is conservative.
Further evidence that Romney can’t win.
If David Brooks supports you, you’re nowhere near being conservative.
If Romney is the only plausible one left, then I say “THANKS A LOT FOR NUTHIN, MRS. DANIELS!”
"Precipitous". Interesting word choice. "Dangerously steep". Dangerous to who? Perhaps dangerous to the MSM and DC insider crowd.
Looks like they are hoping for Mitt with one of the conservatives as VP to placate the right wing.
But, we did that last time and it didn’t turn out well.
