During WWII, the 4146 Base Unit was involved in secret rocket development at what was then known as Dover Army Airfield. The building complex where these military secret operations took place was Hangar 1301. From the 1950s to the 1970s, various fighter squadrons called the hangar home. In the 1990s after restoration and placement on the National Register of Historic Places, Hangar 1301 was given new life as the home of the Air Mobility Command Museum.

Glad I read this. FR has seemed awfully slow tonight, and I just thought it was my system acting up.

I guess the hamster needs some steroids! :)

Welcome home, LUV!
I just finished reading the TCMS thread - looks like y’all had another great time together.
Wish we could make it there.
Did you see the pics of Nana at the range two weekends ago?

Living temporarily in Lewes, DE a next door neighbor and I made the trek to the Air Mobility Museum a couple of weeks ago. What a wonderful place to visit and to think it is run by all volunteers. They man the buildings and many are involved in the restoration of the aircraft. The most beautiful aircraft there for me was the tri tailed Constellation. What a magnificent aircraft. And yes, FR are is very slow this evening.
