Obama: Country Facing Economic, Political Crisis "This election won't be as sexy as the first one"

Testing a re-election theme, President Barack Obama is telling donors during a fundraising rich tour of three western states that the country is suffering from an economic crisis and from a political crisis. "People are crying out for action," he says.

Pointing to elements of his $447 billion jobs plan rejected by Republican lawmakers, Obama said they would likely linger as campaign issues in 2012.

"This is the fight that we're going to have right now, and I suspect this is the fight that we're going to have to have over the next year," Obama told about 240 donors at a fundraising event Monday at the Bellagio hotel and casino in Las Vegas. "The Republicans in Congress and the Republican candidates for president have made their agenda very clear."

In Los Angeles on Monday evening, Obama mingled with Hollywood's royalty. At an intimate dinner with top donors in the Hancock Park home of producer James Lassiter, Obama chatted with movie star Will Smith and former Los Angeles Lakers standout Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

"Sometimes I think people forget how much has gotten done," Obama said, and he urged his supporters to rally once again, at the same time joking, as he often does, that he is older and grayer now. "This election won't be as sexy as the first one."

The Las Vegas fundraiser attracted about 240 people who paid from $1,000 to $35,800 toward Obama's re-election campaign and to the Democratic National Committee. The bigger donors met the president personally.

The dinner at the Lassiter home was cozier, with fewer than 40 donors who paid $35,800 each. Among the sponsors were Troy Carter, the manager of Grammy award winner Lady Gaga.

"This election won't be as sexy as the first one."

Well, the first election certainly wasn't sexually attractive or exciting and I doubt that this coming election will be any more sexually attractive or exciting.

Obama’s election was sexy? If that was “sexy” then I think I need to make an appointment with a therapist because I feel NOTHING except violated... And it just keeps happening again, and again.

Does he mean his side isn’t going to be as nice?

From the article:

“”Obama told about 120 mostly Latino contributors that he has kept a list of his campaign promises and that, by his count, he has accomplished about 60 percent of them.

“I’m pretty confident we can get the other 40 percent done in the next five years,” he said to loud applause.””

So think about what he has left to accomplish in his eyes that he may have left to accomplish. What would that really be?

I can think of

1. the civilian army that is as large and well funded and equipped as the regular army.

2. His plan on making sure that we have open boarders and free trade (read any other country producing our energy)

3. Carbon taxes to help redistribute wealth

I need some help here people ...

I must admit .. he has done quite a bit .. the proof is all around us. Unemployment / the dollar has fallen to historic lows. Record foreclosures. bankruptcies. Future prospects and misery indexes are bleak. Muslim influences are very dangerous at this point in time.

If electing a Communist Muslim from Jakarta was sexy, ejecting him in 2012 will be orgasmic.

We are looking at the party of the century in 2012.

Hussein says the 08 election was “sexy”? Frickin’ dunce. Pretty revolting to think he could win ANY electoral votes out of D.C’s three.

We most certainly are: “UNELECT OBAMA”

And prosecute him.

We can't let him off like Nixon who was pardoned by Ford.

We can't let him off like Bush who did nothing for the multiple felonies committed by Clinton.

And we can't let him off like we let LBJ and Hoover off for the assassination of President Kennedy.

To heal our country and get us on the right track, we need to take the dirty laundry and clean it. American history is radically different than most Americans think it is. The RINO's, the DEMO RADICAL TRAITORS, the Black Caucus who are composed of radical Communists all need to be exposed and then disposed with criminal prosecutions being the norm, not the exception.

Funny how “we” have to acquiesce, because, according to his sheeperal defenders, “we” elected him,

but it never seems to work the other way around.

I hope that in 2013, the Tea Party conservatives “go nuclear” on the fedgov and pull it completely back to Article I, Section 8, eliminating all the little fiefdoms of power that are infested by leftists.

he didn’t say “the last one”. he said “the first one”. and that is an interesting freudian slip.

I have often thought that this guy believes nothing existed before his ascension. time began the day he was elected — sent forth from heaven for the correction of mere mortals . . . i.e., you and me.

"This election won't be as sexy as the first one"

Which means..."I'll be sitting in the corner sucking my thumb by 10:15 on Election Night as I watch CNN talking heads call the election for my opponent.

Unfortunately, he won't be doing that. He'll be lining up thousands of lawyers to prepare for lawsuits for years. The election probably won't be finalized until 2030. And he'll be sending dictates out to his OWS, Black Panther party, SDS, SEIU, etc. to torch the cities. It will be a new American "Hell Night."

That doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to it.

I totally agree, but do you think any one of the current crop of GOP candidates will do anything but play nice with murdering traitorous Democrats after winning?

I am concerned that the new president, like GW, won’t even FIRE all the traitors.
