Don’t get me wrong, while I love to see the leftist eat each other alive, we cannot let this leftist protest against Obama go unchallenged. The affect of the leftist protest will result in even stricter Rules of Engagement for our troops, the closing of Gitmo, and Obama looking more like a centralist then the extreme left winger that he is. Our message must reflect our support of our troops’ mission, the damage that will result from the closing Gitmo or from even releasing Gitmo detainees, and that Obama is still a leftist even if he blows off the protestors....

The Hill: Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said that it's not enough for African-Americans to levy allegations of racism against the right-leaning protesters, and that the media must look into their views. "I want those people talked to; I want them interviewed," Waters told the liberal Bill Press Radio show in a podcast. "I want journalists to be all over those rallies and the marches with the birthers and the teabaggers."

CNN: The longtime congresswoman, whose district includes much of Los Angeles, also described some senators who are opposed to the health care reform bill as "Neanderthals." "Not only are we going to do everything we can to organize and put pressure on the senators — some of whom are Neanderthals — we're going to say to the president, 'We want you to use every weapon in your basket in order to get those senators to do what they should be doing,'" Rep. Maxine Waters said.

Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) said that he is a supporter of Sarah Palin's apparent leadership of the Republican Party. "As a supporter of Sarah Palin for taking over the Republican Party, I’m one of her great advocates," said Conyers. "I mean, what an attractive, young, neoconservative reactionary! Wow! There’s never been one like her." “She attracts crowds. She’s going to write a book,” he said. “She’s so busy she can’t – she doesn’t have enough time to govern Alaska. ‘Hey, let’s get ready for the big one when we go back in and take on Obama.’ I want to encourage...

Sunsara Taylor is a spokeswoman for the Revolutionary Communist Party. Of course that wasn't bought up by the idiots at Fox. Almost 50 companies - including PepsiCo, General Motors, Wal-Mart, FedEx, Continental Airlines, Johnson & Johnson and Chase - and some labor unions sponsored Sharpton's National Action Network annual conference in April. Terrified of negative publicity, fearful of a consumer boycott or eager to make nice with the civil-rights activist, CEOs write checks, critics say, to NAN and Sharpton - who brandishes the buying power of African-American consumers. In some cases, they hire him as a consultant. Conyers said the evidence presented thus far threatens to undermine public faith in the judicial system.

Facing criticism over their handling of recent demonstrations, Berkeley police are bracing for a flood of protesters Wednesday marking the fifth anniversary of the Iraq war. Police plan to have 50 or 60 extra officers on duty to keep crowds from getting out of control, Sgt. Mary Kusmiss said. ~snip CodePink will have its usual protest in front of the U.S. Marine Corps recruiting center on Shattuck Avenue. About 150 people -- those opposed to the Iraq War and those supporting it -- gathered noisily outside a Tacoma Mall office building on Saturday. A group known as World Can't Wait had organized an anti-war protest to mark the coming fifth anniversary of the Iraq War. But long before their protest was scheduled to begin, counter-protesters arrived. The counter-protesters surrounded an office building that houses military recruiting offices, which anti-war protesters had said they planned to "shut down." They shouted "God bless our troops" and waved American flags.

TACOMA, Wash. – Local military families are being advised to avoid the Tacoma Mall March 15 as local groups plan to protest the Iraq War. The group "World Can't Wait" is organizing protests at a recruiting station near the mall to mark the fifth anniversary of the war. But warnings to stay away have been going out to military families for days now - including one from Fort Lewis seeking to prevent a clash between protestors and military families. Maggie Loveless, a spokesperson for the World Can't Wait, says this is going to be a big, non violent protest designed...

Berkeley’s Police Review Commission will hold a hearing at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, March 13, in the North Berkeley Senior Center at 1901 Hearst Ave. on Berkeley Police officers’ treatment of antiwar protestors outside the U.S. Marine Corps recruiting office on Shattuck Avenue. Does Congress want to take an Easter break? The American People have used many different tactics to try to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have camped outside the Bush Ranch in an attempt to get a conference with the president. He refused to meet with them. The people have petitioned Congress and even changed its balance of power. Still, Congress votes to continue funding the wars, and on the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War which has killed almost 4,000 Americans and over a million Iraqis, Congress plans to be on vacation. Except that a...

he brouhaha sparked by the Berkeley City Council these past couple of weeks demonstrates again that you can be within shouting distance of one of the world's great educational institutions and still be terminally stupid. The council, as almost everybody not in a deep trance must know, voted to send a letter telling the U.S. Marine Corps to, in effect, get the hell out of town. The particular target was a Marine recruiting office on Shattuck Square. Predictably, that got the right-wing bloggers knee-jerking right back, sending them into paroxysms of righteous indignation. It also – and justifiably – upset...

Since the Marine Recruiting Center in downtown Berkeley was locked Friday morning when the World Can’t Wait protesters arrived around 7:30 a.m. aiming to shut it down and risk arrest, the group and its allies from Code Pink and ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and Racism) went to Plan B. They held a press conference, demonstrated and called out to passing motorists with chants such as, “murder, rape, torture war, that’s what they’re recruiting for.” They chanted beyond the time that their 2 p.m. sound permit ran out, as noted in a press release sent out by the Berkeley...

The City of Berkeley, California HATES the military - all branches and they have absolutely no respect for anyone wearing a military uniform. Mayor Tom Bates and the Berkeley City Council have officially taken that stance. There is no other way to look at it. They can deny it all they want to, but there is no hiding from the public record. Here is the proof. On 29 January 2008, the Berkeley City Council voted to tell the U.S. Marines that its Shattuck Avenue recruiting station "is not welcome in the city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they do...

Society for years has endured the freakish antics of Berkeley dwellers. Naked people streaking in the streets; smelly hippies begging for money as they sing drunken renditions of '60s anti-war songs; adults sitting in trees like a bad zoo exhibit. But the Berkeley City Council and instigators from the extreme left have crossed the line this time. The council Tuesday night passed two anti-military, anti-American resolutions and agreed to send a letter to the city's only Marine recruiting office saying the military are "uninvited intruders." This is treasonous, hateful behavior that steals the First Amendment rights of the Marines, the...

This right wing assault on college campuses across the country has nothing to do with "free speech" or the oppression of women in Islam. It has everything to do with silencing dissent and whipping up Islamo-phobic hysteria to justify U.S. domination of the Middle East. Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Monday in or near the hearing room where General David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker are testifying on the situation in Iraq, according to the U.S. Capitol Police. Four anti-war protesters were arrested for disorderly conduct. One of them, who was not named, is being taken to George Washington Hospital “due to complaint of injury” is also charged with assault on a police officer. According to the information from the Capitol Police, Sheehan and the other three were shouting in a hallway.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post saying Cindy Sheehan would probably not do very well against Nancy Pelosi, and therefore I was sorry she had decided to run. I said she was more valuable to the antiwar movement as an activist. I said leftists waste a lot of time on futile electoral contests, and cited examples of such contests. These remarks, which were couched in terms of deepest respect for Cindy Sheehan, have evoked much bile and wrath in this blog's comment section and elsewhere in the blogosphere. So much fun are commenters having discussing what a traitor...

The national antiwar-impeachment group, World Can’t Wait, drew 150 people, representing the range of the city’s cultural milieu, to the San Francisco Main Library’s Koret Auditorium Sunday to “drive out the Bush Regime” and reverse its slide toward what many see as an imperial presidency. The meeting was one of at least 11 such events around the country this month and last, from New York to Los Angeles, mobilizing public sentiment for impeachment, despite the repeated insistence by Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party leadership that the issue is “off the table.” An American Research Group poll last week found...

Congress’s failure to secure a timetable for withdrawing American troops from Iraq has split anti-war activists on the tactical question of whether to attack Democrats, who now control Capitol Hill. The split has also underlined accusations among some activists that MoveOn has abandoned its credentials as an issue-based advocacy group and now instead provides cover for Democratic Party leaders. Anti-war activists throughout the country are united in spending August pressing lawmakers to bring U.S. troops home. But tensions within the movement have been bubbling for months over tactics and whether their fire should be aimed exclusively at Republicans. The divisions...

Two days after announcing she will run against Nancy Pelosi because the House speaker won’t impeach President Bush, Cindy Sheehan was in Union Square to help kick off a new “wear orange” campaign to protest the Iraq war. Sheehan had given Pelosi a July 23 deadline to introduce articles of impeachment against Bush or promised she would run against her in 2008 as a third-party candidate. Sheehan charges Bush’s taking the U.S. to war on the false pretense that Iraq had W.M.D.s is an impeachable offense. “I’m going to hold Nancy Pelosi accountable. I’m going to run in her district....

A blog written by antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan and posted on MichaelMoore.com criticizes Charlotte police for allowing counter-protesters to "try to intimidate us" during Sheehan's antiwar rally Tuesday in Bryant Park. But in a memo to top police administrators, one captain said officers had no issues during the two-hour event and expressed surprise at the complaints. "At the School of the Assassins in Columbus, GA, and in Charlotte, NC, we ran into similar problems: police presence that seemed to be there to foster violence. At both places the neo-Nazi, pro-war fascist group "Gathering of Eagles" came out to mostly try...

Attack of the MoonbatsPart IV In "Attack of the Moonbats Part I" AmericanProtest.net weekly column told the story of yelling, threatening "anti-war" men at the University of Arizona World Can't Wait protest, and of another man who physically attacked a student and the author who were peacefully holding signs at the "anti-war" rally. George Bush and Dick Cheney have lied the nation into a war of aggression, are spying in open violation of the law, and have sanctioned the use of torture. These are high crimes and misdemeanors that demand accountability through the Constitutional mechanism of impeachment. Let's put the word IMPEACH! everywhere on April 28. If you're in Miami you'll be able to voice your opinion directly to George Bush...

The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq. The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression. The new Congress, however, has no intention of ending the war. Bush and the Pentagon generals are determined to prolong the war. Tens of thousands of more troops will be sent to Iraq. We are building a massive antiwar movement on the national and local level. Only the action of the people will stop the war. We are returning to the Pentagon because the Iraq war has resulted in more than...

Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Foreign Operatives Using Message Boards All over the Internet, it is apparent that a coordinated, well-funded effort is under way to undermine and warp American values by attacking us through our least protected zone...the Internet. From AOL, to Yahoo, to Netscape, possible terrorists are posting on message boards while posing as liberals. They are taking advantage of the natural anti-American tendencies liberals have anyway, and therefore can more easily blend in. However, there are a few traits you should look for to determine whether someone is actually a foreign agent instead of just the average liberal:...

The purpose of this thread will be to pool our resources and ideas to counter the attempted take-over of our nation’s capital and foreign policy. If that is your purpose, please move along. On January 27, 2007, Thunder90 posted a thread to advise us of the next convergence on our nations capital by the anti-American hate-mongers. Attack of the MoonbatsPart I Evaporating rain spattered the hot Tucson asphalt as I drove along pothole-riddled streets toward the public library on October 5, 2006. It was one of two by WCW scheduled for that day; the other was at 4:30 pm in front of the Federal Building.
