THE Taliban is planning a campaign of Christmas carnage in British cities, a warlord warned yesterday.
Commander Javed Karmazkhel Wazir — of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan — claimed 200 suicide bombers and assassins are ready to launch attacks.
And he said their recruits looked "liberal", adding: "You will not see bearded men or veiled women doing this."

If you’re going launch something as he claims, why on earth would you yield your advantage of suprise? Did al-Qaeda say, “Oh by the way, yeah, on September 11th, we’re gonna hijack some airplanes and use them as guided cruise missiles, so you might wanna keep a heads up for that.” Did Vo Nguyen Giap telephone the Pentagon and say, “Hey guys! I got a big surprise for you coming down on Tet, so keep your eyes peeled; it’s gonna blow your mind!”
This Mr. Wazir is talking out of his kulu, and that’s being charitable. Of course, one can’t totally ignore it either, at the same time, no one with two functioning brain cells gives away the element of surprise in an assymetric warfare scenario. Reading the comments section, it seems most of the Sun’s readers don’t take this fool too seriously, either.

I disagree. If you want to create fear you need to heighten anxiety with the police and commence during the heaviest shopping days when anxiety is already high.
The British Lion does have Teeth and Claws. Thers only so many times you can pull the Lions tail, before find out the hard way about the Teeth and Claws.
