Always enjoyed watching him, even though he was clearly a lefty. Heck, he was an old guy when I remember seeing him on TV when I was a little kid. lol
Considering he’s a guy that most people assumed died long ago, he’s doing pretty well.
Whatever the procedure, minor things are not supposed to have serious complications.
At his age, I'd guess that no surgery is truly minor.
They always do with increased age.

Prayers to a quick recovery.
I bet the anesthetic is messing him up. It got my dad. Sigh.
In one of the shows he did on the second world war, he said something to the effect that "The worst thing Hitler ever did was to prove for all time that any peace is not better than any war."
And to the political constituency of which Andy Rooney is a part...killing millions of people wasn't worse than that. Butchering human beings and tanning their skin wasn't worse than that. Raining bombs out of the sky to reduce neighboring countries wasn't worse than that.
What Rooney and his ilk hate most about Hitler is that he taught people that fighting and dying is sometimes the only option to not fighting and dying horribly anyway. That is something Rooney the left can not forgive Hitler for. He made them work so much harder for dictatorial control.
The new attempt to mitigate this is the so called "Godwin's Law." It is neither intellectual nor conservative in nature. It is just a shorthand form of jumping up and down on the table screaming.
Sorry, I just can't muster a prayer for any sort of restored health for Rooney. Rooney needs Christ, not physical improvement.
Flame away
"Minor" procedures have serious complications much more often than most think. Happens every day. Risk is greater with old people.
A heart cath is a relatively minor procedure, thousands are done every year. Had it done twice.
2-4% of patients experience nerve damage and end up with (often permanent) mononeuropathy in the lower part of the leg on the side of the procedure.
Every time you cut into the body "minor" becomes a relative term.
Yeah, I understand your feelings about him and his ilk.
Rooney has said a lot of very nasty and hateful things masquerading as “humor” (and he meant them as hate, not humor). No one is then allowed to criticize him.
I don’t actively wish awful things to happen to him, but on the other hand, I know plenty of *good* people that are suffering and I just can’t get my “Give a Damn” meter to move for him.
True for all!
The third leading cause of death in this country is complications caused by medical treatment.
