Michael Moore won’t admit he is part of "the 1 percent"
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/25/2011 | Jeff Poor

Either Michael Moore movies aren’t that profitable for him, or he’s having a real identity crisis.

During a live made-for-cable-television town hall event on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” Tuesday, Moore discussed the plight of those hurt by the current economy. When asked by host Piers Morgan to admit that he was a part of the so-called “1 percent,” the enormously successful liberal filmmaker and author flatly denied it.

The IRS reports that the top 1 percent of income-earners make a minimum of $343,927 in annual adjusted gross income.

“Of course I’m not,” Moore said. “How can I be in the 1 percent? No, that’s not true. I do really well. I do well, but what’s the point, though?”

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?"

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore

Friends,

I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.

So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama?

If it takes 14 million in wealth to be in the top 1%, Moore is correct, he’s actually in the top 0.1%, easily. He has to be worth way more than 50 million as reported above. I guarantee he takes virtally ALL of the proceeds from his films and doles out crumbs to his NON-UNIONIZED crew.

The IRS reports that the top 1 percent of income-earners make a minimum of $343,927 in annual adjusted gross income.

If this criteria is accurate, that would mean that several million people, at one time or another, qualified as being in the top "1 percent" in just the last few years.

Anyone that sold a home in a major city, would qualify for this, there are god knows how many ways, someone could hit this mark one year, without being on it every year.

Do any of the idiots at the OWS movement even grasp this.

It does seem less than clear how capital gains are included. That’s the problem with sound bite demogoguery.

Thats gross, not including expenses. Capitalism had a budget of 20mm and grossed 17.4mm.Sicko grossed 36 and cost 9.Fahrenheit 222.4 and only 6. Bowling 58 and 4.Roger and Me,7.7mm and only 160k.
Total 341.5mm gross against 39.2mm expenses but thats not including DVD sales and possibly not advertising. Still no worse than a push.
I have no idea what his actual percentage is of the roughly 300mm is profit.

Kevin Smith is a huge hockey fan and i don’t see any politically influenced movies he directed. Red State actually casts the ATF in a very poor light something we know from Gunwalker that they deserve.

But here’s the thing – because I’ve also – I’ve had a peek behind the curtain because these books I write, these movies I make are made for essentially large corporations. The only reason they allow this to happen is because I make them a lot of money.”

Oh brother! And to think there are millions of Leftists out there that blindly follow the word of Michael.

If Moore played the “My films did not make as much as Avatar” card to indicate he was not a 1 percenter can’t everyone else play the “ I am not Bill Gates” card.

Jo Piazza: Occupy Hollywood: Why It’s Time To Call Out High-Earning Celebrities

http://www.americansuperstarmag.com/celebrity-news/jo-piazza-occupy-hollywood-why-its-time-to-call-out-high-earning-celebrities

“Celebrities are not part of the 99 percent. They are not even the 1 percent. In fact, many of them are lower than even the .01 percent.

Americans are currently occupying cities across the country as a part of Occupy Wall Street, demanding an end to corporate greed and a more equitable share of the pie for the middle class.

Yet, the middle class continues to prop up the .01 percent: Hollywood celebrities who make millions just for being themselves. When it comes to making money, celebrities are abnormal. Their enormous salaries make them outliers in the American economy, on a pay grade above most CEOs, surgeons and lawyers — the professions that typically come to mind when we think of the wealthy.”

All part of the Bread and Circus mentality.

"These are large, multinational corporations — Viacom, GE, Rupert Murdoch — that own these studios. Why do they need our money, from Michigan, from our taxpayers, when we're already broke here? I mean, they play one state against the other, and so they get all this free cash when they're making billions already in profits. What's the thinking behind that?"

-Michael Moore 2008

In 2009 he took a million dollar subsidy to make "Capitalism, A love story".
