Monroe County, Pa., Judge Jennifer Sibum is hearing an appeal Wednesday from former United Nations chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter, according to the Pocono Record.
The Delmar man is appealing to overturn the jury verdict and win a new trial after a midlevel New York state appellate court ruled unanimously last week that prosecutors in Pennsylvania should not have been allowed to use evidence against Ritter about his two prior cases in Colonie. The cases were dismissed in 2001.
