Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman doesn’t color his salt-and-pepper hair, but admits his wife buys him plenty of hair products from the local Aveda Institute to keep everything in place.

Huntsman, the former governor of Utah, discussed his grooming habits in an interview with Chris Moody of Yahoo! News.

Asked what products he uses for his hair, Huntsman responded that his wife tells him what to do in this regard, explaining: “I wish I could tell you. She has these little squirt bottles.”

Huntsman added: “But no dye. And not much in the way of artificiality.”

Why would a candidate choose to speak about this on the record?

I’m not naive; I realize that even a very manly politician probably has a few “beauty secrets” for the cameras. But keep ‘em SECRETS. Let’s talk about jobs.

Just when I thought he could not be more of a girly man. I am embarrassed for the guy.

I want America to have a strong leader. A no BS executive who works long days, sets high expectations, holds his team accountable, and executes on what is promised.

This story didn’t cast such an image. I’m left wondering if he reads Cosmo, shaves his pits, and sits to go pee.

This supposed to suggest he’s frugal? His wife does his hairstyling instead of some high paid Vidal Sassoon type?

They don’t get more “green” than Aveda. Or more liberal. And the stuff is expensive. My wife uses it.
