I will be his jury consultant and work pro bono. And he is worried about pre trial publicity? What did he think would happen when he made the decision to go on a military base and kill U.S. Soldiers? Too bad. No one cares.

Maj. Nidal Hasan's attorneys also told the judge that he needs another expert to analyze the extensive pretrial publicity about the case and determine how that might influence potential jurors.

Actually, what this SOB needs is some ROP Shariah Law practiced on his butt!! Can anyone explain why we haven't gone Daniel Pearl on him??

I am with you Fred. Then he would not need to worry about pre trial publicity. All I care about when it comes to the jury is if they believe in the death penalty.

, already faces numerous obstacles - including stereotypes about his religion and the number of victims in the case. WTF? So he gets special treatment BECAUSE he killed so many? AGHHHHHH!

Because he's a Muslim and accused of having ties to a terrorist, the man charged in the deadly Fort Hood shooting rampage needs a jury consultant before he goes on trial for his life, his defense attorneys told a military judge Thursday. Maj. Nidal Hasan's attorneys also told the judge that he needs another expert to analyze the extensive pretrial publicity about the case and determine how that might influence potential jurors.

Yeah, because screaming "Allahu Akbar" and shooting everybody until you're out of ammunition, reloading, shooting everybody again until you're out of ammunition, reloading, and finally getting shot while shooting everybody again...

...needs frickin' NUANCE to understand.

They will not find one redeeming feature or extenuating circumstance for this pos. I dont care if he was molested by a pack of wild water buffalo when he was a child.

Wait a minute. Isn’t this a General Court Marshal under the UCMJ? There’s no jury, as I recall. There is a panel of senior officers who determine guilt or innocence.

Of course, I may be wrong. 20 years in the Navy and never attended a General Court Marshal.

I thought the same thing when I first read the article. But the request for a jury consultant told me I had to be wrong. Also, I want to apologize to all self respecting water buffalo everywhere.

Just like there is no crying in baseball;

before he goes on trial for his life, his defense attorneys told a military judge Thursday.

The idiot attorney has not yet figured out the rules are different from what he was taught. Plus, there are no cameras or reporters allowed in as well. This is a military matter and the military has a tried and true method of handing a$$hats like this dufus.

But then again, with the rash of convictions of our soldiers in Courts Martial kangaroo things like Haditha makes me nervous.

Does a Military Tribunal have a jury?

He’s a US Soldier, who committed a series of Murder on a US Army base, while serving as an officer.

Why would this be tried in any other court, than a Military trial?

I like the way people talk about stereotypes as if they are always bad and always wrong.

They talk about profiling the same way. There is nothing wrong with profiling. Quantico teaches profiling. For good reason.
