The large Republican presidential field, along with the dramatic surges and collapses of several of its candidates, may ultimately be much ado about nothing. That, at least, is the conclusion of the Republican strategists surveyed in this week's National Journal Political Insiders Poll, who almost unanimously identified Mitt Romney as the most likely candidate to win the nomination. In the five times the GOP Insiders have been asked that question in 2011, Romney has never surrendered the top spot.

Well, that’s it, then: we should all support Romney, who will give us qualified, professional, steady-as-she-goes government like the other insider-blessed candidates have done in the past. ‘More of the same’ is what’s needed. /s

The plan seems to be that they will push Romney to the right enough to get him nominated and elected. There is no way, of course, to keep him from his leftist ways after that.
When is the last time WE THE PEOPLE chose our candidate? We will be sucker-punched again. This country is DOOMED!
All the more reason to vote for Cain.
The infested GOP needs to pulled inside out and sanitized with flamethrowers.
The GOP best listen to the people and not go against them. This time around, the people of this country will turn against them and run them all out of office. You would think that the GOP would join the rest of us and turn this country around and make it what it’s supposed to be.

The majority of my family reluctantly voted for McCain because of Palin on the ticket as VP. The majority of us have vowed not to vote for a RINO regardless of whom is chosen as VP candidate.
I respect the thoughts of these Insiders just as much as I respect the thoughts of economists or political scientists(barf).
President Hillary Clinton who was annointed by the democrat insiders certainly agrees with the Republican insiders.
