The thing is: we can help.

He has to do the majority of the pulling, but we can do some pushing by getting behind him.

That’s good. Let’s compare Texas to California. Both have huge immigrant populations and border issues.

California is broke. the dems there have basically given the state over to welfare recipients and illegals.

Texas is solvent and growing. Governor Perry has created a business friendly atmosphere in Texas that is attracting companies.

Our employment numbers are good considering we’re dealing with an Obama economy.

Perry is pro-life, pro-business. He’s passed tort reform laws that are attracting doctors here from places they are being sued to death.

The smear going around that Perry is pro-illegal alien is a lie.

Maybe you should wake up in case the Cain campaign falters and you’re left with Romney.

It would be nice if we could have a realistic discussion about the illegal alien problem without lapsing into lies and hysterics but that doesn’t seem to be happening with some of you.

I am not trashing Cain. I have serious doubts about him as a candidate for President but if he proves himself and makes it, of course I will gladly vote for him

As someone posted earlier on this thread, Perry bashers have allowed themselves to become so bitter and deluded, I wonder if they could bring themselves to vote for him.

So far, many things Herman Cain has done on the face seemed perhaps somewhat ill-advised or counterintuitive, but nevertheless turned out for the better once the strategy became clear. If he needs a rest, he needs a rest. Try 8 events across a region a day at 65 and NOT taking a rest. He gets 4 hours a day of sleep. I think it does not particuarly represent any problem. In fact, I think it also strikes a bit of Sun Tzu strategy and creates even MORE BUZZ and raises his name ID which is the phase he is still in. Just watch November and December! "In strength feign weakness, in weakness, feign strength. When far off appear close (to the enemy) and when close, appear far off."

Believe me, this man has superior business skills and a logical, mathematical way of thinking, which on the face of it put head to head with any politician, is a grade above. He has been well seasoned for this race and is already showing an unconvential approach which is drawing his detractors, both the Liberal Dem Elite/MSM Complex, and RINO officialdom and their sycophanitic supporters--some here on FR--absolutely BONKERS. I LOVE IT. Herman gives his opponents (and therefore my opponents) the Hershey Squirts every single time!! ! ! EAGLES UP!

My recommendation Lord willing he locks up the total delegate total needed for nomination sometime in April or May, that he first a) rest, and then b) embark on an ambitious world tour to meet at a senior level with world leaders because he can claim that the next President of the US would be either him or Obama. With those creds, he could get in the door with Noda, Lee, Merkel, Cameron, Singh, Sarkozy, Karzai, Netanyahu...you name it. I believe this is what Reagand did in 1980, either before sewing it up or afterward. He would have the freedom of time to make such trips, it would create additional buzz, because there would be no heavy campaigning per se in the USA during that March/April to August time frame. This would burnish his foreign creds even further and totally freak out the State Department, and Obongo's National Security (NSC) team, plus the liberal elite Amen Corner in the US MSM.

I have no problem with GOV. Perry. He is not going to beat Obama. He can’t beat Romney.

IMHO opinion Obama and Romney have beaten themselves.
Cain is the wild card.

I know Perry looks weak while he is getting it from all sides here on FR, but believe me, Cain, Romney and Obama are taking careful notes.

Obama expected Romney to be it. Perry did not do his homework. Cain is a wildcard that the MSM will attack relentlessly. Watch this little diddy......

It’s all about life. His so called “cakewalk” is a product of America. Perry was a poor debater and needed more instruction to show his core beliefs. He lost those debates because he wasn’t ready.

“I don’t think it’s obvious at all that it requires a 24/7 schedule, for a year or more, to run for President.”

Sorry, I thought you said 60-80 hours, which is probably not unreasonable for the next CIC and Leader of the Free World.

My reaction was, sounds about right to me. I have known a lot of people who run small to mid sized companies who do that for years while getting under way, especially. 60 hours seems like light duty...80 is pushing pretty hard, but it isn’t like he’s hanging sheet rock or working at a blast furnace. 30 plus are probably dinners and lunches.
