The rocket attacks from Gaza continued overnight Saturday, giving local residents a restless night.
Two rockets were fired towards Be’er Sheva just after 3:00 a.m. (Israel time). The rockets exploded in open areas and there were no reports of physical injuries or damage.
At about 5:00 a.m. Israel time, a Grad missile exploded north of the city of Ashkelon. There were no physical injuries or damage.
Meanwhile, IAF aircraft targeted six terror activity sites in Gaza overnight. Three rocket launching sites and one terror tunnel were targeted in northern Gaza, and two terror activity sites were targeted in southern Gaza.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, secondary explosions were observed in certain sites. Hits were confirmed.
The attacks came in response to the barrage of rockets that were fired at Israel throughout the day on Saturday.
Ten Grad missiles and over 20 Kassam rockets and mortars hit Israel over the course of the day, the IDF said.

One side or the other must win in the Middle East. Israel must win or lose. No half measure! The Palestinians know this and will fight as long as it takes to win. Israel must become more aggressive and push them into the sea—they must wallow in a sea of blood or they might as well move out to the USA or Europe. One side must be a clear winner. No half measures will do. Guilt? there is enough for both sides—we are beyond who started what—now it must be about the end game.

I support Israel, and we are good allies who benefit from that friendship, but it's obvious who's more dependent on the others survival as a nation. Mexico's invasion of the U.S. isn't taken serious by way too many people, and if you're suggesting it has no impact on Israel you're kidding yourself. If we don't get our country moving in the right direction it's not only our nation at risk, but our allies as well.
Occupation requires scarce resources.
Better to sever water, electricity and gas lines. Better to place the entire Gaza in jeopardy and make the women tremble with fearful thought. Better to disrupt transportation and thus all life
While we should support Israel, the U.S. needs to start using it's own damn oil instead of depending on our enemies for things we have. We protect our oil interest because our nation depends on it for it's survival, which makes our governments refusal to actually mention military action securing something our nation can't survive without annoying.
I meant what I say. Do whatever you have to do in Mexico. We should do whatever we have to do in Ghaza, before the war spreads. Frankly, the three billion in aid we get from the US is too costly to both of us. I wish it would stop. It’s not substantial enough to make a real difference either way. Where being best buds with the US really counts for something is in clout. You have it, diplomatic, strategic, military. We don’t. We’re everyone’s whipping boy at the UN. We have no carrier groups, ICBMs, or deep manufacturing infrastructure. The only way we’ve kept our enemies from slaughtering us wholesale is by winning wars. This war has to be won, too, or it won’t matter a bit whether or not the US is our ally. You can’t win it for us. You can’t even fight it with us. You can have a huge effect on the aftermath of a victory, though, for good or bad.
The bottom line is, we need regional allies who are facing the same threat, such as India, South Sudan, the Copts, Lebanese and Arab Christians, Armenians, Greeks. The US is powerful, but also doesn’t have its head screwed on straight. We can’t trust our future to exclusive reliance on the US, although your friendship is a very good thing.
Here's how it works. For every rocket that lands in Israel the territory it was launched from loses one kilometer of land in the direction of the country it borders. Example: A rocket launched from Gaza results in the border of Gaza being pushed one kilometer closer to Egypt. A rocket launched from the West Bank results in that border being pushed one kilometer closer to Jordan.
The kilometer of territory is then Israeli land forever, no give back under any circumstances.
Eventually the rockets either stop or the residents of the territory involved are shoved back into the country they came from by tanks, rifles, and bayonets.
Anyone who resists is killed.
Either way the rockets stop and Israel wins. It's simple, direct, and right to the point. "Stop shooting at us or lose your territory forever."

I find it annoying that many Americans seem to either hate Israel, or have a weird love for it like it's the most superior nation on earth while running the U.S. into the ground, even before Obama was elected. I either see Ron Paul's guys attacking it for causing all problems, or others saying things like Israel is a great utopia. Anyone have normal feeling like with our other allies, or is it required to have raging hatred for Israel, or you worship it like it's literally Jesus Christ.
In 1967, the US was providing spare parts to Jordan’s air force. Israel was getting spare parts and planes from France, and in partnership with it in developing the Mirage. We were attacked on all fronts, as we were in 1948, both without substantial help from the US, the latter with an actual arms blockade in place. In 1956, the US openly opposed the Sinai campaign, and our allies at that time were France and the UK. It was not until 1973 that the US weighed in heavily on Israel’s side, and you were a lifesaver at that time. But without US support, we’ve held our own and then some in the past, repeatedly attacked from all fronts.
That is not to disrespect US friendship and support. But at present, we have to take a serious look at the possibility of that help and support being withheld or lent to Egypt instead. The bottom line, is we have done it before. We can do it again, and we have natural allies in regional minorities, especially India and eastern Christian countries and communities, and a trump card to play with the Kurds (in the game of divide and stave off annihilation).
The three billion, as I’ve said, ought to be discontinued yesterday. It has too many strings attached to be of real use to us, and face it, the US is an a fiscal balagan (mess), thanks to Obamania.
On this side of the ponds, too many people are convinced that the US is absolutely indispensable. I believe the US is not a country to disregard lightly, but it’s also a mistake to become overly dependent on it.
Throughout our history, that has always cost us. To defeat the Greeks, the Hasmonaeans turned to the Romans for help. Then the Romans became so overbearing that they became our oppressors, so Bar Kochba turned to the Parthans (now Iran). The Parthans let Bar Kochba down, and he was defeated, leading to 1800 years of exile. Then when the Jewish yishuv, which had grown slowly from 1516 (start of Ottoman hegemony) until 1915, was threatened with mass expulsion, we turned to the British. When the British became our oppressors, the Irgun and other resistance groups revolted and gained independence with no major foreign help.
American patronage is a blessing, but it has its drawbacks. Our independence is more important, imho, but to have such a powerful ally is not inimical to independence, so long as it’s understood that we are no vassal state or colony. Powerful empires sometimes have a problem with that. Obama’s administration has a very big problem with that.
Throughout the world, people frequently see us with either pathological antipathy, or irrationally intense admiration. That’s to be expected. We are allegedly The Chosen People. This is allegedly The Promised Land. For the first time since General Severus exiled our forefathers, we’re home and claiming our inheritance, as is prophesied in the Bible (and also predicted in the Koran). That either is an event the world has been waiting for, or an open contradiction to your world view, depending on your background. Ron Paul is of the pathological hatred group. OK. I’m glad you’re not of the other camp. They can be hard to talk to.
We are allies, and I don't see anything wrong with friendly debate on military issues between our citizens. The fact is we both have great militaries that are at the top when it comes to any nation.
I also agree with you that it's not a good idea for any nation to get too dependent on another, considering that aid could end suddenly. I'm sure Israel has plans in the case they lose all U.S. help, but they still know how important the U.S. is. I think it's obvious Obama would cut all ties with Israel if he could do it without hurting his support here.
I also know the U.S. is the main nation that puts pressure on Israel to stop wars before they are finished. I'm sick of the way we try to fight wars now, and the way we use our influence to make others fight them the same. If people can't accept a total war then it's not a war that's important enough to be fighting.
Israel is going to have to attack Iran unless it's ready to deal with a nuclear armed Iran, that unlike past conflicts with nuclear armed nations may be willing to destroy itself just to destroy Israel. I know a lot of people are cautious because no one knows for sure the kind of retaliation Iran is capable of, but there are just two choices now.
The way us “civilized” nations are suppose to fight these days are what make me sick. We just had a General in Afghanistan lose his job after complaining about the head of the Afghan government saying they would side with Pakistan in a war against the U.S. even though their government would fall immediately if we left. That kind of stuff should really help the morale of our guys fighting over their keeping this government in power.
The most civilized, and powerful nations of the world are now expected to fight restricted to the point we have to even the playing field with an inferior opponent. We are all doing it now, and it's pathetic. Our enemies will mutilate and play with our dead, but we are suppose to fight to win the “hearts and minds” of scumbags who will never like us.
Israel is always pressured hard to come to temporary peace every time they have a conflict now, and it's always obvious who gains more out of it. It's just pathetic that the best trained and equipped militaries on earth won't use the full potential of their militaries.
After watching several military documentaries on Netflix, and constantly hearing about how the “international community” won't allow the type of war we fought in WW2 just made me sick. Anyone who thinks like that should realize we would have lost the war if we weren't allowed to fight it that way. I'm just ranting now, but when Americans, and our allies get killed in wars that are obviously not being fought right when you look at history it's sick.
