Private school or not, do they take taxpayer dollars?

Ah yes....tax dollars. Last week, the private school in which I taught was celebrating the Pennsylvania Senate’s passage of the school choice/voucher bill. Considering what the food Nazis did to the wellness program, I would have very serious concerns about what would be mandated for curriculum. As a teacher, I was told not to use candy as a reward. I basically said “screw it..my classroom/my way” The hoops the school jumped through to accomodate the the Food Nazis was ridiculous but they wanted the dollars for the kids whose parents were struggling. Imagine what vouchers in the hands of a liberal governor/house/senate would do.

It is not that a university takes taxpayer dollars because it is the student who takes the dollars. The school assists the student in obtaining the grants, etc but they normally do not take them directly. Now, research grants, etc are another matter.
