Desperation: The High Tech Lynching of Uppity Herman Cain Begins

Real Feminist

Politico sicks no less than FOUR reporters onto vague nearly 20 year old allegations to smear new GOP Frontrunner Herman Cain.

So desperate are the powers that be to bring down this uber-successful black businessman, that they are doing a Clarence Thomas on him, complete with sketchy allegations such as: a woman “accused him of innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature” and conversations that were regarded as “improper in a professional relationship.” Can you possibly be any more vague?

A few weeks ago a group of “feminists” commemorated the 20th anniversary of dopey fraudster Anita Hill’s pathetic testimony at the Thomas hearings, as if she is some sort of suffragette of the 90s. Now, some in the political “good ‘ol boy network” are falling over themselves to put out this nothing of a story. Towards the end of their hit piece, they stated that most of the employees that worked for Cain said he was “extremely professional” and “fair” to female staffers, and

Cain’s treatment of women was “the same as his treatment of men. Herman treated everyone great,” said Mary Ann Cricchio, who was elected to the board of the restaurant group in 1998. She said Cain left such a good impression on the organization that when he spoke at a group event in January of this year, as he was considering a presidential bid, “he had unanimous support in the room.”
The only actual names and actual statements were that Cain was fair and professional. There are no names, dates or any solid evidence whatsoever for the innuendo, vague comments and phantom “female employees” that “settled for 5 figures”.

Do not be fooled. this is NOT a leftist attack.

The Republican elites are clearly spooked big time by Herman Cain, who has catapulted into shocking leads in the Iowa, South Carolina and Florida polls, and within striking distance of Romney in New Hampshire - a state Mitt has always assumed he would win by double digits. And so they are feeding this tripe to the Washington media vultures they alternatively joust with and seduce to maintain their corruptocracy. Mitt Romney and Rick Perry would fit right in with Karl Rove and his merry band of RINOs. Herman Cain would most defintely not. And so, he must be taken out.

But on what bait would the Leftist Media bite? Why of course - the same tired racist sexual stereotypes they used against Clarence Thomas, which one would have thought would be verboten in today's climate. But for the Left, a "Black Conservative" (just as with a Hispanic conservative - ask Marco Rubio), has committed "race betrayal" - a capital offense. So they are more than happy to play along.

Conservatives need to remember well how those elites on our side have conspired with the Leftist press to try and take down this great American, Herman Cain. They need to be swept from control of the GOP, once and for all. As Vito Corleone would say: "this I will not forgive".

I don’t think that is a bit funny. Apparently several Sunday morning host shacks talked to Mr. Cain in a like manner! I think those fools just plugged in their own toasters! Mr. Cain is head and shoulders above any of them. As for the filthy accusation tripping off Geraldo’s nasty tongue tonight. Someone is so afraid of Herman Cain’s popularity that they are pulling a Clarence Thomas on him!

I heard that Bob Schieffer apologized to Mr. Cain on the CBS news tonight! He doesn’t deserve to be forgiven, but of course Mr. Cain will forgive him.

Good points by Robert Stacey McCain tonight:

You have to read pretty far down into the Politico story before you find that response from Herman Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon, and the article sticks all the exculpatory material at the end:

______

Ron Magruder, Denise Marie Fugo and Joseph Fassler, the chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors at the time of Cain’s departure, said they hadn’t heard about any complaints regarding Cain making unwanted advances.

“I have never heard that. It would be news to me,” said Fugo, who runs a Cleveland, Ohio, catering company, adding such behavior would be totally out of character for the Cain she knew. “He’s very gracious.”

Fassler, who helped bring Cain on board as CEO of the restaurant association, said that any inappropriate behavior was not brought to his attention and that he would be upset to learn it had gone on and he was not made aware of it.

“That’s a shock to me,” Fassler said. “As an officer during all of Herman’s years there as a paid executive… none of that stuff ever surfaced to me. Nobody ever called me, complained about this, nor did I ever hear that from Peter Kilgore, nor did I ever hear that from Herman Cain.”

Fassler — who ran a Phoenix food-service company and finished his term as chairman the month before Cain’s June 1999 departure but remained on the board’s executive committee — described Cain as treating men and women identically and asserted it was “not within his character” to make unwanted advances. “It’s not what I know of him,” Fassler said.

Much like Fassler, almost all board members remember Cain fondly and say he left on good terms.

Cain was “extremely professional” and “fair” to female staffers at the restaurant association, recalled Lee Ellen Hayes, who said she “worked fairly closely with” Cain in the late 1990s, when she was an executive at the National Restaurant Association Education Fund, a Chicago-based offshoot of the group.

_________

We know nothing about the accusers and the specifics of the accusations from a dozen years ago are reported rather vaguely by Politico: “episodes that left the women upset and offended” and “physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship.”

All in all, it’s a long run for a short slide. Unless and until we have some specifics — including names, dates and places — my instinct is to agree with Gordon that this is “part of a smear campaign.”

Why are Cain’s enemies firing the thermonuclear component of their oppo-research arsenal so early? Generally speaking in such matters, you save your big stuff for later in the campaign.

Indeed.

Let us wipe away Mr Cains privileged status.
I loved the smoking ad, but Cain has been getting a free pass as far as scrutiny.

The man is a great speaker, he gets the blood boiling, but so did Obama.

We need a leader, not a shyster.

I heard that B.S. shouted at Mr. Cain during the interview on Face the Nation this morning. I didn’t see it but a friend said that Schieffer was completely out of line. Does anyone have a video of it?

With all due respect, just because there are still Indians (whoops, Native Americans) in Texas doesn’t mean you have to partake in their Peyote!

When Rove insisted Cain was “finished”, I wonder if he had already put the “sexual harassment” dossier in the mail to Politico.

I saw it and Herman missed a golden opportunity to turn it back on Schieffer. I would have let him rant and then asked him the question, Excuse me, but is it not still legal to smoke cigarettes? Furthermore, what would happen to all of that cigarette tax money currently being collected for all the childrens medical funds all across the country? Then the final shot would have been to ask where is all of this indignation about Obama’s chain smoking stinking up the White House.

Rick Perry has been savaged.

Is anyone surprised that Cain is receiving the same the same treatment?

I suspect this is all a load of garbage, but remember the new paradigm we’re in. Truth and facts no longer matter. In other words, expect all the late-night cretins like Letterman, Leno, Stewart, etc., to be making jokes about Cain as being some kind of unhinged, sex-crazed masher.

Again, that’s the new paradigm, with the whole media/political ruling-class complex and their manner of character assassination. Just like what was done with Palin. That’s why I was so exasperated with idiots who just wanted to respond to all this by saying Palin was “damaged goods,” and to turn the page. This kind of targeted assault needed to be confronted and fought with all barrels blazing, with utmost vigor. Because once this new paradigm was set and deemed effective in destroying someone, it will be perpetrated on ANY and ALL new conservative leaders that rise and are seen as a danger to the ruling order. Evidence to date is that the GOP is either too cowardly or too disinterested in engaging in this fight.

"We gonna GET that damn uppity Hermain Cain!! Get those railroad ties up here!"

Isn't it amazing how the mutual interests of the illegal 0bama regime and the establishment GOP-RINOs merge and combine in such a sudden flurry of synchronization? As for me? I STAND WITH HERMAN CAIN.
