Desperation: The High Tech Lynching of Uppity Herman Cain Begins

Real Feminist

Politico sicks no less than FOUR reporters onto vague nearly 20 year old allegations to smear new GOP Frontrunner Herman Cain.

So desperate are the powers that be to bring down this uber-successful black businessman, that they are doing a Clarence Thomas on him, complete with sketchy allegations such as: a woman “accused him of innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature” and conversations that were regarded as “improper in a professional relationship.” Can you possibly be any more vague?

A few weeks ago a group of “feminists” commemorated the 20th anniversary of dopey fraudster Anita Hill’s pathetic testimony at the Thomas hearings, as if she is some sort of suffragette of the 90s. Now, some in the political “good ‘ol boy network” are falling over themselves to put out this nothing of a story. Towards the end of their hit piece, they stated that most of the employees that worked for Cain said he was “extremely professional” and “fair” to female staffers, and

Cain’s treatment of women was “the same as his treatment of men. Herman treated everyone great,” said Mary Ann Cricchio, who was elected to the board of the restaurant group in 1998. She said Cain left such a good impression on the organization that when he spoke at a group event in January of this year, as he was considering a presidential bid, “he had unanimous support in the room.”
The only actual names and actual statements were that Cain was fair and professional. There are no names, dates or any solid evidence whatsoever for the innuendo, vague comments and phantom “female employees” that “settled for 5 figures”.

Do not be fooled. this is NOT a leftist attack.

The Republican elites are clearly spooked big time by Herman Cain, who has catapulted into shocking leads in the Iowa, South Carolina and Florida polls, and within striking distance of Romney in New Hampshire - a state Mitt has always assumed he would win by double digits. And so they are feeding this tripe to the Washington media vultures they alternatively joust with and seduce to maintain their corruptocracy. Mitt Romney and Rick Perry would fit right in with Karl Rove and his merry band of RINOs. Herman Cain would most defintely not. And so, he must be taken out.

But on what bait would the Leftist Media bite? Why of course - the same tired racist sexual stereotypes they used against Clarence Thomas, which one would have thought would be verboten in today's climate. But for the Left, a "Black Conservative" (just as with a Hispanic conservative - ask Marco Rubio), has committed "race betrayal" - a capital offense. So they are more than happy to play along.

Conservatives need to remember well how those elites on our side have conspired with the Leftist press to try and take down this great American, Herman Cain. They need to be swept from control of the GOP, once and for all. As Vito Corleone would say: "this I will not forgive".

These incidents include conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature

The above is the worst that politico was able to say about Cain. They did not go into detail on the exact innuendo or the exact "sexually suggestive question."

So, the allegation is that Cain "said" something. It isn't that he touched, forced, fondled, held, bribed, etc., anyone. It is a matter of words that can never be replayed or proven by anyone.

If this were Bill Clinton, because of his track record, I'd say we should pay attention. But every other person and every other situation does not reveal anything like this.

I'm guessing it was on the part of the females a matter of pure gold-digging, or a matter of them flat out lying, or a matter of a misunderstanding of context or intent.

So far as I know, without a recording, it's a matter of words that cannot be recaptured.

When Rove insisted Cain was “finished”

How dare you challenge the word of America's highest-paid Norwegian-American High School dropout?

This man is a genius. Ask him, if you don't believe me. He has spent hundreds of millions of RNC dollars to turn slam dunk landslides for Republicans into exciting cliffhanger losses to unlikely Democrats.

The "genius" Part is he keeps getting the money.

trot out Larry Sinclair...

Preferring one's own sex, smoking crack, doing cocaine, or having a foreign citizen father has absolutely nothing to do with the ability and eligibility of this outstanding Hawaiian to live in the White House and visit Martha's Vineyard.

I suggest you spend some time reading his stirring autobiography as written by Bill Ayers.

Herman Cain will survive this storm and come out stronger than ever!!!

Bingo!

Conservatives are tired of the double standard.

The MSM knew for months that John Edwards had fathered a child out of wedlock, yet did not report it. They had to be dragged kicking and screaming to report the story.

But, if there's "a rumor of an allegation by an unnamed source" about a conservative it's reported as front page news.

This double standard extends to every aspect of reporting. For example, Rick Perry's college grades have been sifted with a fine tooth comb by the press, but it's not worth the media's time to check Obama's grades.

This report doesn't make me wonder about Cain, it makes me mad at the MSM.

>> This attack on Herman Cain is coordinated and brought forth by the following, “Politico” . . . . <<

Yep, and about the only thing surprising about it may be that it wasn’t done by the “maccaca squad” at the Washington Post.

(But I guess they’re too busy trying to smear Rubio. So perhaps the WaPo just farmed the Cain hit job out to Politico.)

Geralod was on a witch hunt, plain and simple. His colors are wet and drip all over the place in situations like this. He wants a sensational healdline with his name attached to it and will stoop to whatever degree to try and achieve it.

Despite his antics and attempts to draw Cain's campaign in (and I have to say I do not think it was a smart move to call in to Geraldo, given his slant), the facts as I understand them to date are these:

On one side (Politico) you have this:

We have a report where we know nothing about the accusers and the specifics of the accusations from a dozen years ago.

They, at this point, are simply reported very vaguely by Politico: “episodes that left the women upset and offended” and “physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable," and that, "they regarded as improper in a professional relationship.”

We have allegation of payoff in the five figure range, but again, nothing specific. IMHO, until the accusers come up with something much more specific, like names, dates and places, it is going to continue to be nothing more than an attemted smear campaign from my perspecitve.

Maybe Politico has more...time will tell, but at this point, it's not out there.

...and then, on the other side (Herman Cain's) you have this:
Ron Magruder, Denise Marie Fugo and Joseph Fassler, the chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors through the entire time of Cain’s position at the Restruant Association, said they hadn’t heard about any complaints regarding Cain making unwanted advances.

“I have never heard that. It would be news to me,” said Fugo, who runs a Cleveland, Ohio, catering company, adding such behavior would be totally out of character for the Cain she knew. “He’s very gracious.”

Fassler, who helped bring Cain on board as CEO of the restaurant association, said that any inappropriate behavior was not brought to his attention and that he would be upset to learn it had gone on and he was not made aware of it.

“That’s a shock to me,” Fassler said. “As an officer during all of Herman’s years there as a paid executive… none of that stuff ever surfaced to me. Nobody ever called me, complained about this, nor did I ever hear that from Peter Kilgore, nor did I ever hear that from Herman Cain.”

Fassler — who ran a Phoenix food-service company and finished his term as chairman the month before Cain’s June 1999 departure but remained on the board’s executive committee — described Cain as treating men and women identically and asserted it was “not within his character” to make unwanted advances. “It’s not what I know of him,” Fassler said.

Much like Fassler, almost all board members remember Cain fondly and say he left on good terms.

Cain was “extremely professional” and “fair” to female staffers at the restaurant association, recalled Lee Ellen Hayes, who said she “worked fairly closely with” Cain in the late 1990s, when she was an executive at the National Restaurant Association Education Fund, a Chicago-based offshoot of the group.

Very specific denials and testinomies to Cain's professionalism and behavior from very specific people over very specific time frames which would have covered the events in question.

So, at this pont, who you gonna believe?

Amazing, isn’t it!!! Marco Rubio and, now....Herman Cain getting the old smear workover from the low life liberal dirt bags. Why? Shucks, Cain & Rubio on the same ticket destroy, not only massively defeat POTUS Obama come November, 2012. They also destroy just about all of the present Democrat Party!!! So.....Cain & Rubio must be brought down in any manner possible. And....you can bet your bottom dollar, the Republican establishment RINO types, Rove, Romney, etc. are coordinating the effort with Obama, the Democrat Party, Politico & the Washington Post!!! Time for Patriotic, True, Real, Loyal, Decent Americans to come to the aid of their candidates and more importantly, their country!!!

This is interesting. From Perry's Arizona State Coordinator:

Yeah, saw that earlier... what did "Victoria" know and when did she know it?

The whole thing reeks of a setup to me. I find it hard to believe this wouldn't have come out earlier, like when Cain was running for Senate in GA.

Excellent post, Jeff. The best they can come with in the intro to the article is “(language) allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature.

That could mean anything.

The question could be: “Are you married?”

Think about it, and that could be construed by a feminazi as “innuedo” and as “sexually suggestive.”

In fact, the could file a complaint that simply said “innuendo” and “sexually suggestive” without EVER giving details.

"Politico sicks [ sic ] no less than FOUR reporters onto vague nearly 20 year old allegations to smear new GOP Frontrunner Herman Cain."

I'm no grammar nazi but that's fairly rank.

Also about two sentences into the Politico article, I started substituting "Clinton" for "Cain" -- instant nothingburger!

And if I were Cain, that's what I'd do, double-down like Clinton did, and I'd even tell the MSM to their face that's the blueprint -- "nothing here, drag a dollar thru a trailer park, move on, bigger fish to fry"...you didn't stop Clinton and you can't stop me.

The attack by Politico is blatant racism. Black men have historically been characterized - unfairly - as abusers of women...

...as well as having unusual sexual appetites, and lack of sexual self-control.

The racist perception can lead not only to political exploitation, but to original false allegations.

Usage is "sic" or "siccing", the latter preferable here, particularly by turning passive into active; "sics" less preferred.
