The Obama administration has boosted its efforts to bar state-level enforcement of the nations immigration laws by suing South Carolina over its new immigration reform law.
The Monday announcement by the Department of Justice follows the news that the Department of Homeland Security has quietly canceled long-standing checks of transportation hubs for illegal immigrants.
Administration officials defended the controversial lawsuit Monday, despite the nations unemployment rate of at least 9 percent.

Typical Obama administration stuff. He forgets that he took an oath to uphold the Constitution, not find new ways to circumvent it.

Especially for this issue, I hope states-both north and South- begin to totally rebel against the federal government. Because it is the Federal Government who is destroying our Union by willingly aiding and abetting the invasion of our country. I wonder if this has ever happened before in the history of human civilization? For most sane government's detest the thought of invasion by their neighbors. This is suicide in the name of political correctness. I pray that a good number of real Americans do not want to follow the Lemmings in Washington off the cliff and into the sea.

As I posted
yesterday when this first came out:
AZ, AL and now SC are waiting to see what SCOTUS has to say about this. This was to be expected in SC. The law here is very similar to the AZ and AL laws.
Let's hope many more states pass laws like this.

Maybe it’s time to fire on Fort Sumter again?

As I posted yesterday, for the justice department to win they would need to get the court to reverse, DeCanas v. Bica, not going to happen, this decision says a state can pass any law they wish about illegals, except congress is the supreme authority on legal immigration.
