Seems to me that the early development of a pattern can be detected with the sexual harassment allegations vs Cain.
A similar thing happened to Clarence Thomas. Old, unproven allegations resurfaced with a vengeance.
Juan Williams, a black Democrat political analyst, recalls the Thomas witch hunt saying how vicious they were. He worked at an agency and was contacted during that search for dirt.
Liberal attacks against all conservative black men is, in fact, racist. Such action unveils the old fashion prejudice of days gone by that black men cannot control their sexual urges. Such a notion was at the core of some of the most heinous lynchings of black men for white rapes.
We see this same despicable dual standard and scapegoating in white Bill Clinton getting a pass, “It’s only sex.”
Liberals are the racists, not only seeing black men as animals incapable of controlling their passions, but viewing blacks as incapable of competing on a level playing field as evidenced by Affirmative Action.
Holding blacks down and keeping them dependent, “on the plantation”, is necessary for Liberals to maintain their coalition of power. Herman Cain, as a successful, self-made businessman, represents a major threat to that Liberal coalition.
I think it can be said that things like racism and sexual harassment, at one time a serious problem, have now become little more than a case of people wanting to have their cake and eat it to and wanting to punish people when they don’t do that.

After 10 years of service, I was accused of sexual harassment for a going away roast I gave to a long time employee and personal friend. She said they pulled her into an office before she headed out the door and asked if the roast had been harassment. She said, and HR admitted that she said, “No.” But the harassment policy says, “If an uninvolved third party overhears and believes the statement or conversation to be harassment, then it is harassment.” So, I was written up because an employee at the off-site luncheon (this is a quote) said, “I didn’t. But I think somebody else might take the comments as harassment.”
Not only did this company have a harassment policy that virtually nobody at our site except HR and the “Ethics Manager” had seen, but they had in place a manager of that policy. Now, I ask, if you give somebody the job to find harassment and then (most likely) a metric to meet; will they not find harassment?
Incidentally, they stopped visibly enforcing the policy when I pointed out that their reason for enforcement was to declare an offsite luncheon set up using company email a “company sponsored function.” I pointed out that if they declared my use of company email a “company sponsored function” then anybody who set up a bowling league or golf league meeting at the local bar (a frequent occurrence) was creating a “company sponsored function.” In which case the company was assuming liability for any deaths resulting from the drunk driving afterwards. The ethics manager disagreed, but the company lawyer apparently quashed the whole thing behind the scenes and it was quietly dropped.
