Why would Palin endorse Newt?

I think Palin is going to endorse Perry. Tapping into our own resources has been her number one platform. I see her joining forces with Perry to get the ball rolling on this.

That would seem logical to me. They are not alike, but have many similarities.

I agree.

“I wonder how the divorce of his ailing wife, dying of cancer fits in to his faith?”

You might want to take the time to research this claim. First of all, Jackie Battley was Newt’s first wife who wanted and filed for divorce PRIOR to the infamous “terminal cancer hospital visit.” Incidentally, she had a benign uterine tumor and IS STILL LIVING TODAY. Newt took his children to visit their mother at the hospital and a discussion about the terms of the divorce ensued. It might also be helpful to know that the relationship between Newt and Jackie began as Newt, a high school student and she, his 26 year old teacher.

” For me, after Sarah dropped out, I have been completely turned off to everything political. I just don’t even care anymore “

You had BETTER care, unless you don’t have any children or grandchildren to worry about. No more RINOS! Stay involved, and vote CONSERVATIVE. Every vote is going to count!

Sounds like we’re on the same page.

I’ve wondered if the dredged-up allegations against Cain will actually help Gingrich. If attempts to paint Cain as a sleazeball were to succeed, voters might give the more knowledgable silver-tongued sleazeball another look.

Nuts! Gingrich couldn’t get arrested.

Yes, I paid a lot into S.S. over many years. I’m not happy about having to use it. I don’t use the Medicare so far. I’ll be 78 in Dec. and I still work and pay taxes. No guilt trip for me. So, give me a decent candidate to vote for. Cain ain’t it and neither is any other person running. It comes down to: write in Palin or don’t vote if Newt is unacceptable.

Did you look at the vid? No way isn’t an attitude, it is a reality.

Being Catholic doesn’t mean you’re perfect. Newt has had problems with relationships....no question. But that alone is not a disqualifier. I believe he is a man who will staunchly defend religious liberty.

Correct. Newt converted to Catholicism later in life. As did my father. Often times, converts are the most devout because rather than “inherit” a church from their family, they made a conscious choice to embrace that particular faith. Count me as a Newt supporter.

Oh, my gosh.

CONSISTENT?

Yeah, he consistently makes horrible decisions.

And I really don’t think he’s the poster boy for “defending marriage”.

He dumped wife number 2 after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

She “initiated the divorce” after Gingrich was bonking another woman.

Lots of excuses. What’s his excuse for dumping wife #2 after she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis?

Sorry, “I loved my country so much that I had to cheat on my wives.” isn’t going to cut it with most people.

I think it speaks to character. Same as with Bill Clinton, what a person does in their private life indicates their character.

I don’t like people who don’t honor their commitments and oaths.

He took an oath (marriage). He would take a oath to defend the constitution (office).

Does he just follow his oaths when it benefits him, and what happens when the going gets tough?

If a man can’t handle his personal life, he has no business trying to run the country.

Ronald Reagan was divorced. You can’t disqualify someone because they’ve had problems in their personal lives. I’m not holding Newt up to be some savior, but he’s a competent leader, is conservative, and has the potential - I think - to be a good president.

This isn’t an excuse it is fact. It is another smear campaign against a Republican by liberals and their excusers, the msm. I for one am not going to fall for their pranks.

It’s a matter of the circumstances of the divorce.

Same with most things in life.

Look into the facts surrounding Reagan’s divorce vs Newt’s (and when they occurred in their life) and get back to me.

It isn’t a smear if it’s the truth. But you just completely ignore the rest of my post, because the truth doesn’t fit into your plans.

Gingrich is a serial adulterer, and can’t make a good decision.
