You know, I just hate this line, and libs I know use it all the time. How could they POSSIBLY know? How could they? I point out to them the Reagan era and how his administration handled it, and the prosperity that followed, yet that is rejected outright.

The natural follow-up to that response would have been: "Well, Mr. President, if that is so...why is it that all your administration does is blame the Republicans and the previous administration?
