John McLane's got nothing on this real Brazilian Federal Police Officer, who use his cop car to take down a plane loaded with smugglers and $150,000 of stolen electronics.

Smugglers have been flying into Paraguay, snagging stolen electronics (and a bicycle), and then flying them back to Brazil using this plane and runway. Someone tipped off the Feds in Ribeiráo Preto, Brazil who descended on the criminals with what looks like a lowly Chevy Trailblazer.

The paranoid I am I always wonder if threads like this aren’t an attempt to collect information on Freepers.

When you visit a website you give them a lot of information. If you allow the site to load cookies you keep on giving.

Pretty cool video, but hardly a huge blow to organized crime. It’s pretty easy to replace a light aircraft and send it to a different make-shift landing strip. Brazil is a large country.

Still, it would be nice if our own law enforcement were allowed to take such simple yet effective measures to stop bad guys.
