Poll: Support for Cain rises

They must have flipped their wigs at Politico this morning. Barack Obama’s online Baghdad Bob reported that the National Restaurant Association settled for less than $50,000 a lawsuit filed against Herman Cain in the 1990s.

Now a Washington Post/ABC News poll taken from Monday to Thursday after Politico reported on a sexual harassment lawsuit shows Republican support for Herman Cain is up 6 from the previous poll a month ago.

All that oppo research may be for naught as 3 out of 4 Republicans said they could not care less about the nearly 15-year-old news.

To put the settlement in perspective, Bill Clinton settled up with Paula Jones for every penny she asked for — $850,000, or more than 17 times this settlement.

Whatever Politico was peddling, Republicans are not buying it. In the September 29-October 2 Washington Post/ABC News poll it was Mitt Romney 25%, Herman Cain 17%, Rick Perry 17%. In this October 31-November 3 poll, it is Mitt 25%, Cain 23%, Perry 14%. Newt Gingrich went up from 9% to 12% in this poll.

From the Washington Post: “But the potential threat to his burgeoning campaign is evident as well, with Cain slipping to third place among those who see the charges as serious, and Republican women significantly more likely than men to say the scandal makes them less apt to support Cain.”

Yes, there is a potential threat. There is also a potential threat if we discover BaracK Obama is a serial killer.

Here is what the poll asked: “It’s been reported that two female employees accused Cain of making unwanted sexual advances in the 1990s, and they received financial payments to leave the trade association he headed at the time. Cain says he was falsely accused and never sexually harassed anyone. Do you think this is a serious matter, or not serious?”

39% said not serious. 55% said serious. 6% had no opinion.

That was followed by: “Does this situation make you (more) likely to vote for Cain for president, (less likely), or doesn’t it make a difference in your vote?”

4% said more likely. 23% said less likely. 69% said no difference. 4% had no opinion.

Horrifyingly biased poll question, that isn't consistent with known facts.

Looks like he handled it better than the Country Club thought. People saw right through the hack job. Rove, Kraut, Ingraham and Coulter are deeply saddened.

Pray for America

No kidding!

Honest, decent, intelligent people see this propaganda for exactly what it is!

Cain anticipated "a high-tech lynching."

WE SHALL OVERCOME!

Man, I forgot about Paula Jones.

Just compared the known facts in that case, facts that Clinton didn't even dispute, to the Herman Cain situation.

And Clinton is a hero to Democrats to this very day.

Remember the "one-grope rule?"

Spout the right liberal pieties and you can -- literally -- get away with murder in this country. Just think of Teddy Kennedy.

From what I heard on Hannity last night.

Herman said it was not a settlement but a year severance pay.

They can even get that right.

That was the “one-free-grope” rule, courtesy of Gloria Steinem.

And who can forget Nina Burleigh ( I think that’s her name) stating that she would give His Slickness a Lewinsky b/c he would keep abortion rights legal.

Got a political poll phonecall around 9pm last night, scared the heck out of us. My husband declined to participate in their poll. Figure it’s better if those “experts” don’t know which way the wind’s blowing.

I heard Karl Rove on Hannity yesterday and had to turn it off. As a matter of fact I decided not to listen to Hannity any longer. Whether it's right or not, Hannity’s ego and self importance has grown into the category of thinking he's a King Maker.

Karl Rove’s entire interview was nothing but a tirade on bashing Herman Cain. Karl has lost ground, credibility and audience. Karl can't stand not being the King Maker any longer. He hid in the WH under GWB where his real personality was hidden.

Karl Rove needs Anger Management Counseling!

I've given the Cain campaign $200 in the last week. The great thing about Herman is how resilient he is. Every time the media pounds him about some putative weakness, or tries to hit him with a vile shitball like this, he just gets sronger. That says he'll be a great nominee in the mudfest that's going to be fought with the Illegal.

Ugh, how many times did Hannity congratulate himself on the Bill Ayers find? He can’t go 5 mins w/o comparing this to him uncovering Ayers.

Pray for America

You know, unless Mr. Cain did something with a cigar while in the Oval Office while discussing the mid-east current events on the phone, I just don't care. He is STILL my candidate for pres, and I won't vote for a RINO.

Man, I forgot about Paula Jones.

Don't forget how the Duke lacrosse players were falsely accused. Their lives were ruined by the money grabbing chick who cried, "Rape." If I remember, she even wrote a book after she lost the case.

The stakes are rising. The MSM is going to be forced to produce these women pretty soon if they intend to continue the narrative. Otherwise it is gonna implode on them.

I heard the same interview. Truly a joke. Hannity brings up the fact that Cain’s numbers are rising and Rove says polls don’t matter. What a joke for a guy that bases everything on polls.
